I'm really excited to see what CO'R is going to bring to the table. It's great to see him staying with the red and white and making history. Let's hope we make finals again this year.
Zippy Fish to play for Australia and it has just been announced that Tanya Kennedy and Paris McCarthy have been selected to play for Ireland. We wish them all well, and let’s hope there are no injuries to any of them though!
In summary: Errol and Tommy Mc will play AFL this week, Rampe will play VFL (has he ever played VFL for the Swans?), and Papley is another couple of weeks away.
Such a down to earth Aussie bloke 🇦🇺
I have been to 2 or 3 of these functions over the last couple of seasons. Noticed they supposedly are running another one before this Sunday's match but they haven't advertised who is speaking. I think the last one was with Jeremy Laidler. With a few of our stars out injured at the moment (Rampe, Papley, Gulden, Campbell), they could have done a player panel. I definitely would have coughed up the money for that.
Congratulations Lucy McEvoy as our new Captain, and Cynthia Hamilton and Sofia Hurley as our new Vice-Captains. Go well! Whooo!
Mick Herron was on stage with Australian playwright Suzie Miller, interviewed by Benjamin Law. He revealed that we can spot his cameo with his wife in the next series in a memorial scene seated next to Kristen Scott Thomas.
Not Swans-specific so hope you will all enjoy this half-hour chat with Goodesy about how playing sports, especially team sports, has helped him throughout his life, including post-AFL career.
Ramps may not have been on the field last night, but he was there to cheer on the boys all the same.
Video from Swans socials.
It's hard to believe our Tackle Machine is only playing his 150th game this week. Feels like he's been with us forever. Welcome to Life Membership, Rowy!
Rampe makes a rare appearance on a podcast. Although it's not a footy podcast, he talks about his career, what drives him to keep going, his role in the last 2 grand final losses, and how a conversation with Tom Hickey after the '24 loss changed his attitude about playing in grand finals (even losing ones).
