After non stop issues with only getting 10 miles of range. Randomly kicking the gas engine on and off for a few seconds at a time. The dealership I bought it from a few months ago has had it 4 times to try and figure out the issue and keeps saying there is no problem. Hopefully the 5th time is a charm.
Had posted this question before where people said I was "Gunning it" to make the gas engine kick on. So I've taken another video showing the gas engine running with 15 miles if range while maintaining 29mph. I understand the engine kicking on at 55+mph when driving a giant brick. But for it to run at 25-30mph seems off.
Picked up the jeep after a week at the dealer. Was there because the gas engine will constantly turn on and off. Was told "couldn't replicate the problem". This was the drive home. Anyone else have this?
Got my Wrangler Rubicon 4xe 3 weeks ago. Love it around town being able to run electric only. My drive to work though I set cruise at 55-60mph. The jeep will be fully charged and running in hybrid mode. It seems it can't maintain the cruise speed and will slowly fall back then kick the gas engine on to regain speed. It will do this constantly running the gas engine for only 5-6 seconds to get back to cruise speed before kicking back to electric for 5-10 seconds and repeating this process. I talked to my local jeep dealer and they advised this is normal. Anyone else have experience with this? Seems like a lot of strain on the gas engine starting and stopping constantly to gain 1mph.
