Bad top surface with Bambulab P2S

Hi all,

I am having a problem with my Bambulab P2S. More specifically, it concerns the quality of the printed surfaces. When I print large areas/long printing lines, everything looks good — see second picture.

However, when I print areas where the print head only makes short movements, gaps between the printed lines are clearly visible — see first picture.

The pictures show the following model:

Here is some additional information:

  • Both parts were printed on one build plate.
  • I used Bambu Lab PLA Matte, but this issue also occurs with other filament types.
  • The software and firmware are fully up to date.

I have already tried the following:

  • Dried the filament 😉
  • Full calibration
  • Dynamic Flow Control is enabled. However, the issue also occurs with a manually calibrated K value.
  • I also calibrated the flow rate. However, I would rule this out as the cause, since the flow is correct on long printed lines. If I increased it to improve the short lines, too much material would be deposited on the long lines.
  • The print bed was also manually adjusted due to a different issue.
  • Cold pull

What else could be causing my print quality to look this poor? This was not the case at the beginning, in December 2025.

Kind regards,
Marc
