I’ve lived in my house for over 20 years. During that time various appliances fail and I just replace with whatever has a good recommendation on CR, matching finish (Stainless) and on sale. So right now they are a hodgepodge of different brands.

Now my fridge (Samsung-defroster shot), stove (Frigidaire - convection shot), and dishwasher (Maytag - trays corroded, not cleaning as well) need replacing.

Should I match all replacements with the same brand? Is there a downside if they don’t match?
