Finally landed: Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 (8945HX / RTX 5060) refurb from Lenovo Outlet for ₹1.40L

Finally landed: Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 (8945HX / RTX 5060) refurb from Lenovo Outlet for ₹1.40L

Ordered on 25 Sept from Lenovo Outlet (certified refurbished), delivered 9 Oct. Blue Dart kept it at the Tumakuru hub for 8 days with the "EDL delay" status, and no helpline number connected. It showed up anyway.

Specs:

Ryzen 9 8945HX

RTX 5060 8 GB (115 W)

16 GB DDR5-5200 (single stick, 2 slots)

1 TB SSD

16" 2560×1600 IPS, 500 nits, 240 Hz, 100% DCI-P3

24-zone RGB keyboard

1-year onsite warranty

Condition: not a scratche and smells very much like a new machine. The nearest new configuration on Lenovo India is about ₹2.26L.

Help wanted from Legion owners:

For the second RAM stick, which 16 GB DDR5-5200 SODIMM do you run, and any compatibility issues?

Lenovo Vantage or Legion Toolkit for day-to-day fan and power control?

Anything you'd check in the first week on a refurb? I'm planning a battery report, SSD health and a Cinebench thermal run.

Will post temperatures and battery health once tested.

Bought a refurbished Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 (R9 8945HX / RTX 5060 / 16 GB) from Lenovo Outlet for ₹1.40L. Good deal or did I mess up? Shoul I cancel (Order placed Just now, 25th September at 7pm). This is serious money for me

Just placed the order on Lenovo Outlet (certified refurbished). Looking for a sanity check before it ships.

Specs (from the listing, part no. 83LTCTR1WW-PF654S2P):

  • Ryzen 9 8945HX
  • RTX 5060 (115 W per PSREF)
  • 16 GB DDR5-5200 SODIMM (2 slots, up to 32 GB)
  • 1 TB Gen4 TLC SSD
  • 16" WQXGA IPS, 500 nits, 240 Hz, anti-glare
  • 1 year onsite warranty

Price: ₹1,40,091 (MRP ₹2,42,501). The new AMD Pro 5 with 16 GB is ₹2.11L on lenovo.com.

Other options I considered:

  • Legion Pro 5 16IRX10 refurb (i7-14650HX / 5060 / 32 GB): ₹1.62L
  • Legion 5 15AHP10 refurb (R7 260 / 5060 / 16 GB / 300-nit screen): ₹1.21L
  • Legion Pro 5 16IAX10H refurb (U9 275HX / 5070 Ti / 32 GB): ₹1.99L
  • Waiting for BBD. I don't have a Flipkart Axis card, so the big bank discounts don't apply to me.

Use case: heavy multitasking (40+ Chrome tabs, AI tools), films, and AAA games: COD, Assassin's Creed, The Witcher 4 when it's out. Sometimes connected to a 65" TV.

Questions:

  1. Good price for this configuration, or would BBD have beaten it?
  2. Has anyone had high CPU temperatures or a dead-on-arrival unit with the Pro 5 Gen 10 AMD? Lenovo's reviews mention both.
  3. How has Lenovo Outlet refurb quality and support been for you?
  4. For the RAM upgrade, is any DDR5-5200 SODIMM fine, or should I match a particular brand?

Thanks.
