20 [F4R] India/anywhere - Looking for something real
I’ve been debating whether to make one of these posts for a while, but I figured there’s no harm in putting myself out there and seeing who I meet.
I’m 20F from India, currently studying law, and I’m very much the sort of person who can spend an unreasonable amount of time talking about books, history, psychology, mythology, random rabbit holes, or some completely stupid thing that happened during my day. I read a lot, I write, I paint occasionally, and I’m generally curious about pretty much everything.
I’m not really looking for something casual or a conversation that dies after three days. I’d like to meet someone I genuinely enjoy talking to and see where it goes naturally. Friendship first is absolutely fine honestly, probably preferable. I think the best relationships are built when you actually like each other as people before trying to force anything romantic.
I’m an ambivert, so I can be ridiculously talkative once I’m comfortable, but I’m also perfectly happy sitting around having a quiet conversation with someone. I value emotional maturity, kindness, curiosity, good communication, and being able to actually talk about things beyond “wyd”.
I’m also very much a fan of slow-burn connections. Getting to know someone gradually, having increasingly ridiculous conversations, sharing little things about our days, becoming comfortable enough to tell each other absolutely everything that sort of thing.
I’m completely open to long distance. I don’t think geography automatically makes a connection less meaningful, and if we genuinely click, I’m happy to see where it takes us.
A few things that matter to me: I’m looking for something genuine and monogamous, not casual, not an FWB arrangement and definitely not something that immediately becomes sexual. I’d like someone who is emotionally available and actually interested in building something rather than just looking for temporary attention.
And yes, I know Reddit dating posts can be a bit of a lottery. I’m not expecting to find my soulmate in my DMs tonight. I’d just like to meet someone interesting and see what happens.
