Advice For My Aloe

Advice For My Aloe

Hello! I’m trying to learn more so that I’m treating my aloe well. I’ve had this for many years and it’s never produced a baby or shoot. It grows straight up.
What can I do to help it flourish? Does it need repotting? More sunlight? I live in the north eastern United States so it can’t be planted outside.
I’d appreciate any helpful advice you can offer.

Should I intervene?

I have a flock of pigeons that have made our storage building home. Unfortunately, we live where there are a lot of predators, so the flock is constantly 're-upping' for lack of better terms.

I went out the day before yesterday and saw feathers all over the place and figured a hawk got another one. Last night I went out onto the deck of the building and saw a pigeon in one of the eves. I could only see its tail feathers as it looked like its head was down, but there was movement and since it was roost time, I left it alone. I checked on it a little while ago and it's still in there, but this time, just looks like it's in a nesting position. Eyes open, blinking and moving around a bit when I talked to it.

I can't help but wonder if this is the bird missing feathers and it evaded the raptor by going in there. It's 20' or so from where the feathers were. It's a common spot for them to roost, but it being in there while the others are on the roof, or looking for food, I wondered if I should try pulling it out and looking it over. I really don't want to stress it out, but I'd feel awful finding out I could have helped it survive. It is safe where it is though. Any advice?

These were my grandparents, given to me by my mom. I want to eat foods cooked in these family pieces, however I don’t want to eat the actual foods they ate! 😂
Can I safely remove the crusty layers on the outsides and then what should I do about the buildup on the inside of the larger one?
Thanks in advance for the suggestions!
