Do you think I should go to North Germany as a queer student?

I’m 17 and I was accepted to go to an exchange school in Rostock for 2 months next summer but I don’t know if I will enjoy it. Do you have any opinion about Rostock and honestly is it hard for gay international students to fit in?

I want to study in Germany after I graduate so this previous experience will be good for me to practice my German. But the more I look about Rostock online, I get more scared that I’ll feel lonely and won’t make any friends there and regret leaving home.

I don’t look lesbian at all and I am closeted so I don’t think anyone will know but I was hoping to meet more queer people but now I don’t think I will. Can you give me your honest opinion of Rostock or north Germany in my situation?

Can you give me your honest opinion of Rostock or north Germany in my situation?
