Au Explained:

In this Au everything in the show happens the same except during Cyns genocide of humanity a few human scientist hid in a bunker and developed blueprints and technology for Mecha Drones which were supposed to be robots piloted by humans to stop the disassembly drones and would have worked if it were not for the fact that the absolute solver found out about the plan and killed every scientist and anyone else who knew about the project and destroyed all blueprints of it… or so it thought. Then we skip to the end of the show where everything happened the same as in canon only after five years an unknown alien race that the drones have called the “ swarm” which are weird bio, mechanical bug, like aliens of unknown origin with the shortest being 15 meters tall. There exoskeletons are too thick for any disassembly drones armament being ineffective and having claws and acid that cut and melts both workers and disassembly drones like wet paper with many variations of them some can fly some can tunnel and others have unique attacks. They consume everything from flesh to metal, while an absolute solver user can take down a few of them, there’s always 10 swarms to replace one fallen. This has led to the drones of copper nine and other colonies, who have encountered them to retreat from planet to planet eventually leading them all to earth. While hiding under the planets crust. Later Uzi, V and N found what remains of the mostly complete blueprints of the Mecha Drones project while looking for resources. With what little infrastructure was left and the combine efforts of all remaining worker and disassembly drones they were able to build 10 Mecha drone bodies with one glaring issue. One of the missing parts of the blueprint was the operation systems, which means means that the Mecha Drones were nothing more just glorified art pieces. However the few remaining mechanics of worker drones have come up with a solution they could use the AI of a worker or disassembly drone as a perfect replacement. However said drones would suffer massive of free will as when becoming the operational system of the Mecha Drones they are unable to move, walk or talk without a pilot in the cockpit. in addition said drone can’t go against the will of the pilot even if it goes against the own morality. It is unknown if the procedure can be reversed. Of course initially nearly everyone didn’t want to go as they were freed from the control of humans to have their own autonomy and didn’t want it to be taken away…. until one N volunteered as he’s been having doubts of his usefulness and believed his been a burden on everyone and wants to make himself useful, of course his girlfriend Uzi and long time friend V object to this and won’t let him go for a procedure. But it still happens despite their objections. Turning N into the MDK-01-N. In her grief Uzi volunteered to be the pilot, usually it would be to get into a cool anime mecha but now it is to be closer to what is left of N

Weapons: it has the most of the same armaments of a disassembly drone scaled up. It has 120mm machine guns that can retract into the arm, claws large, and sharp enough to cut through the, exoskeleton of the swarm. A larger disassembly drone tail that replaces the acid with a large blade made of rare metals. But its primary weapons are two retractable swords made of a rare metal alloy that can slash and cut effectively against the swarm. Two drills made up the same right alley with diamond tips that can pierce through the ticker exoskeletons of the stronger variants. And most recently (at the request of its pilot) larger versions of Uzi iconic rail gun on the forearms.

Special ability: the most Unique part of the Mecha is the A.S.E system that stands for Absolute Solver Enhanced system which is a special system only found on the MDK-01-N that increases the power of an absolute solver user pilot by 40% with a limiter and 100% without one. However using the system without the limiter could lead to permanent damage of the pilots code
