Taking hat off at end of the round to shake hands…

I understand the handshake, but the hat off feels like an oddly formal and antiquated ritual for such an informal, completely causal round of social golf, and it feels weird.

Do you do it? Do you care?

Swapped to overlap grip from interlock and was finally able to release the club properly…

Six months in and just sharing my first golf epiphany… two months ago a coach suggested I use an interlock grip (in my only lesson Ive had). However I only recently realised I wasn’t releasing the club properly, and seemingly physically could no.

So I tried changing my grip to overlap - had an almost instant difference in my ability to break wrist and release the club…. gained 20-30 yards (85mph and ~165-170 yards 7i) and at what feels much less effort/ strain. Can’t believe I’ve been battling with the wrong grip for me for so long.

Six months in, how can I improve my driver swing?

I seemed to have developed a bit of a push (as per this shot) which I think I managed to fix with a stronger grip…. but just checking where else I can improve or if there’s anything fundamentally wrong with my swing?

My swing is usually ~90-100mph ish and 210-250m depending on contact - I am also wondering if I would benefit from a stiffer shaft (I have regular)?
