Where to get circuit board solder, NELA preferred

I need <1mm thick solder for circuit boards, and all the big box stores seem to have is giant-size plumbing solder. Where can I quickly get fine electrical solder today? Close proximity to Eagle Rock preferred. Thanks!

UPDATE: Harbor Freight to the rescue today, but I am VERY pleased to know about PacRad for the future. Thanks, everyone!

Dust collection hose diameter reduction strategy

I have a small personal garage shop, and I’m trying to improve my dust collection ability. I have researched and read up on this question, but I still came away kind of confused. I wonder if you can help me plan a strategy for improving my dust collection, so hopefully I can stop getting dust all over storage items in the shared space. All of my tools are on wheels and move around the space as needed, so hose is required vs. rigid pipe.

Suction:
- Previously: Rigid 4 Gallon 5.0 Peak HP Portable Wet Dry Vac WD4070 (2.5" dia connectors, but the hose that came with it is actually 1-7/8" in the middle)
- Dustopper cyclone lid for a 5 gallon bucket, 2.5" hose connectors; works ok
- a friend recently gave me his old DustRight Separator (cyclone) with 2.5" connectors, but 3" hoses attached
- Just purchased: Wen Dust Collector DC3401, with 4" hose connector, which I’m hoping will improve things

Tools that I want to collect dust from:
- Bosch 4100XC job site table saw, 2.5" connector
- Kobalt 7-¼" blade sliding miter saw (0857240), 1.5" connector
- Xcarve CNC router, 2.5" connector to dust shoe
- Bosch ROS20VS sander, 1.15" connector
- Kreg track saw, 1.5" connector
- various small tools like router and drill, that I suppose I might want to try and attach some sort of a nozzle that can catch dust as I’m working, since they don’t have a proper vacuum port

My biggest question is that obviously all of the tools have a smaller port then the dust collector. At what point in the process is it best to reduce the hose diameter to match? Should I try to keep the hose at 4 inch diameter for as long as possible, right up until it connects to the tool?

Secondarily, is it worthwhile to still have the cyclone dust separator in the middle of the chain? Especially/even though it will reduce the hose diameter?

Apologies for asking this – I know it has been discussed at least in part before, but I’m still a little unclear on how this should best work. Thanks for any and all advice!

[Edit: clarifying old vs new suction equipment; added track saw]

I’m making a an office reception desk for a neighbor of mine, and they wanted a black phenolic plywood desktop. The plywood was delivered on Monday, and it looks spectacular.

I want to protect the phenolic finish so it doesn’t get scratched up while I’m building the desk. I was thinking of something like the PE protective film that you see on sheets of acrylic. Is there a good protective film product that would work for that, or a different way of protecting the surface that you would recommend? Thanks!
