So tired of seeing the same limited-talent actresses/scripts in every new movie

Please let me vent for a second:

I love movies. They’re one of my main methods of escapism in this often crazy world. I love being drawn into original storytelling and seeing talented actors/actresses who have range and depth. It’s such a gift to be able to be caused to FEEL something when I watch a great movie. I’m not a film snob at all-just a woman who loves how I feel when I’m being completely enveloped in a great performance/story. I don’t know what’s happening in the last 3-5 years, but why the F*** ***are actors/actresses being promoted when they exhibit no distinct roles/characters/personalities. I understand that actors/actresses tend to undergo a sort of cyclic popularity, especially when franchises are involved but my algorithm is FLOODED right now with actors/actresses who, while they are good, feel like they are the most generic, unimpressive, non-inspiring performers. Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Sadie Sink are the three that I am genuinely annoyed to see. I truly do not see range with them. Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Sadie Sink are literally the same character in every movie and I don’t know why people are pretending they’re not. It’s like companies are selling out for the lowest common denominator when the scripts and acting quality could literally be generated by AI. I’m so tired of it. I want UNIQUE. I want SPECIAL. I want art that is performed/embodied. I feel like our species is allowing this ‘glossing over’ of real art. We need the Heath Ledgers ala The Dark Knight. We need Natalie Portman ala Black Swan. We need EMOTION. Not generic scripts and generic acting. Why are we treating this generic BS as if it’s magnificent? Where is that coming from? Are we just supposed to go along with groupthink and continue to reverberate the echo chamber of, ‘oh wow they’re amazing-I LOVE so-and-so’? Any thoughts?
