I’ve been ordering a lot of ink samples recently and I feel compelled to try each one in a pen immediately. So I end up with this craziness! Why I don’t dip test them is beyond me. Anyone else have this problem? (Fun problem, I know.)

(Note: I handwrite 5,000 words of notes on a slow day at work and I journal and doodle for fun at night. I change to a different pen every couple of pages so they are indeed getting used.)

How many do you keep inked consistently?

This showed up nearly overnight, just under the eaves of my house. Could it be an insect nest or any mound? It’s a little fuzzy looking around the edges but it’s hard to get close to it to really tell. We recently had about 5 days straight of rain, if that makes any difference. It could be some sort of fungus or mold but image search is leaning toward insects.

Ink: Diamine Deep Magenta

This is my first Benu with medium nib and heck it really puts out some ink! It’s the widest Medium I have now. Will be wonderful for shading inks.
