Hi guys, I'm new. Wtf am I supposed to do with this?

Hi guys, I'm new. Wtf am I supposed to do with this?

I found this underground while searching for polygels under the moon stair. I had no idea this mod existed, and I didn't even know chairs could have mods.

After 9 months of work, EcoTech FINALLY re-released in time for my birthday.*

(* Disclaimer: It was actually four days ago. Some code and graphics were extremely messed up so they had to be redone. It took a few more days to get a workaround until the issues can get properly addressed)

Anyways, EcoTech is finally out again (linked). I had to re-release it due to the amount of renames, balancing, and work that's been put into it. This mod is my take at giving tribals (and medieval) a way to progress in the game without embracing electricity. Instead, you can expect:

  • Plants that grow your weapons, whether they are melee, ranged, or even turrets
  • Massive megatrees that can mutate your weapons, shape your armors, or even terraform the entire region to suit your needs.
  • Crystals that transmute steel to silver, break down guns back to steel, or even turn flesh into gold.
  • And even the stars to help combat those that would rely too much on an electrical advantage.

Right now the mod has two main progression paths - organic (plants/trees/etc.) and lithic (rocks/crystals/ores/etc.), both of which have their own unique mechanics. There's nothing that says you can't do both, however. More - such as aquatic, stellar, wind, etc. - are planned as well, as shown by the name in the banner. So there a lot of content and ambition in the mod.

The mod is extremely high fantasy, and is also trying to fill in the 'magic' void that's present on the workshop. However, it's also trying not to go off the deep end. I'm trying to make it so whenever anyone plays a tribal playthrough, they could have this mod present and think "yeah, this probably exists through archotech/ultratech shenanigans".

If you do use the mod, feel free to leave feedback or suggestions on the workshop page, and - most importantly - please have fun with it!

The weird boxy outlines that don't seem to have any rhyme or reason. I'm not sure how I added it, and I'm absolutely not sure how to get rid of it. Reloading the save file didn't remove it, and I can't select it with any tool. Trying to find solutions online hasn't been helpful.

I'm sure they have a purpose, but whatever it is, I have zero idea. All they are doing right now is being a genuine annoyance and distracting me on an artpiece that requires me to be VERY zoomed in.

Thanks in advance for any help!
