pest control options: termites

My house may have termites. I am looking for recommendations for a local pest control business you have had positive experiences with. I would like to avoid using Terminix; I had multiple problems with them, and their communication was poor (not to mention the difficulty I had cancelling service with them was infuriatingly scummy).

80s sci-fi, time-travel children’s/YA book set in weird future

I’m looking for a strange-sounding sci-fi book from the 80s for a friend who cannot remember its title or author. Probably a children’s or YA book in which a couple of kids time-travel to the future and find a world in which everyone is bald (or wears pyramid-shaped hats), wears shiny one-pieced, soft, dark tunics, and go barefoot due to the entire surface having become sponge-like. They get around by means of long conveyor belt sidewalks, and a plot point involves the kids evading pursuit from the authorities with the aid of a fellow child they have befriended who has a key that can selectively speed up the conveyor belts.

A couple of other random details. They attract suspicion by using contemporary US dollars, notably with the Eye of Providence pyramid on the back. They attempt to disguise themselves by wearing flesh-colored swimming caps to cover their hair (the girl has a ponytail).

Edit: She found it: The Tutti Frutti Connection, Alan Cameron
