From sleeping 25 hours a day!

I got the red roof cosy cottage and decided to see how many cats I can get in there 😸 I did keep the bed, kitchen sink and table and chair set in, also added the washing machine that came as a free gift and a baby bunk bed from another set. Not included are the midnight cats (I'm planning a separate display for them) and tuxedo/charcoal/Marlowe cat family as I'm waiting for a few more orders to arrive! I also didn't include my two ivory cats and one Siamese cat...it is far too packed already. Also the big cats - snow leopards and lions weren't included here. I'm sure they were relieved 😌

Picture 4 is a customized floral cat dad with grey ears since I couldn't get a cheshire cat. He represents all us introverts in a full family gathering, dissociating and staring off into the distance, wondering when he can be back home in peace, in bed, and watching all sorts of random stuff on YouTube 😂

Hi! I'm trying to find out more about this little rocking horse. It was sold as a rare Sylvanian Families rocking horse but only the cradle babies can use it, the other babies are too big to sit on it! Is there another figure that's supposed to go on it? My research hasn't turned up much so far, I bought it because it is so darned cute 🥹 Also, it has what looks like a sunflower seed around its neck, not sure if that is part of the original set! It says Epoch Co Ltd and made in China at the bottom. Any help is appreciated 🌟

Nothing fancy, just wanted to share a photo of the twinning lion cubs while I try to get through the work day 😂 I just love their giant ears!! Do you have a Sylvanian/Critter work/study buddy? They really do help lift the mood 😺

I saw the Cheshire Cats with their silver-grey ears and desperately wanted one but they seem to be super rare! So I thought of customizing one. The base I used was a floral cat dad which was sold second hand in a doctor's outfit. It was my first attempt at painting a flocked figure 😂 Things got a bit dicey as I used too much water and the paint started to spread beyond the boundaries and I had a huge blue/grey blob extending from the left ear! 😭 Thankfully it could be blotted out with tissue paper. I also tested out the colour on his tail first, in case it goes sideways it would be easier to hide that away! The paint I used was Daler Rowney System 3 acrylic paint, Wedgwood, (code no. 114). It was the right shade and no mixing was required. I carefully dabbed the paint with a round no. 9 paintbrush. The first session resulted in some patchiness and I went back with another round of painting this morning and it looks a bit better now 😊 The flocking was surprisingly not too crusty after the painting attempt! Hope this can be helpful for anyone who wants to make their own customized Cheshire Cat 😺

Got my first Mulberry Raccoon and my heart is exploding... 💥 Here it is sitting next to Mallory Whiskers! The last two photos are from when I first got them, I switched out their knitted rompers as I think these colours suited them better! I haven't been able to find a name for the sitting Mulberry Raccoon, does anyone know what he/she is called?

I'm a bit shocked when I look at the timeline myself 😅! I've known about Sylvanian Families (SF) growing up, but never paid too much attention as I was really into Legos then. I happened to see a listing while browsing Shopee in May and found out that SF has cat families and they even come in little baby and cradle baby sizes!! I'm big on cats and miniatures so I was immediately hooked. The first figure I got was an identified silk cat baby dressed as a mushroom from the Baby Forest Costume Series blind bag. As a fully responsible adult with full access to her finances... I did not hold back on the collecting 🤣🤣🤣 I think I've got around 80+ figures by June, mostly cats, from identified blind bags (I have horrendous luck with those so I only go for identified ones) or used and preloved figures that I've attempted to rehab. I'm repainting a used Cedar Terrace House and a Misty Forest Candy House for them but now I think I need more homes. Hope you enjoy looking at the collection as much as I've enjoyed collecting them!! 😺

I was thrilled when I got this little panda mummy, it was cuter than expected! However, I realized that a lot of the details of the wound up bandages could not be seen. So I tried to make it a little more realistic and now I need something to make a haunted house out of 😂 In the third picture, what do you think Reggie Midnight the magician-in-training is discussing with Erin Pookie? 🎃

I think this little doll's house is from the Piano & Desk Set. I got it in a bunch of loose accessories and I can't get over how cute it is! Miniatures of miniatures are my favourites 😆 Second picture is a little part of my collection of feline figures, all bought as identified blind bag/box or orphaned from the original set (like the pianist Mr Lion). The only full family set I own now are the Snow Leopard Family. I am getting all the felines but haven't had the luck in finding the baby tiger yet... and now there's a big tiger figure to get too!! My heart is full but my wallet is empty 🤣🤣🤣

Hi! New collector here, only started getting into Sylvanian Families a little over a month ago and I've learnt so much and been inspired by the customized figures on this sub! I collect almost exclusively cat figures, and when I looked into the Siamese/Grey cat family it seems they were first released in 1987, but I couldn't find out when they were discontinued. I think she's in pretty good condition and I'm thinking of giving her a gentle cleaning with soap and water, not sure if that is advisable or not. Also, I don't think she's in her original dress but I found an olive green version that used to be for the Ocher Dog mom so I've got that for her. She also does not have the gold sticker at the bottom of her foot. Nevertheless she's a beauty and I love having her as part of the rapidly growing army of cats I'm amassing (with a few bears and other cuties as well!).
