1PM Gen4 with Staircase LED system
Hello Shelly experts,
A while back I posted in a different subreddit about adding a wifi module to my staircase lighting system, and had been suggested to look into a Shelly relay. Can someone assist with how to wire it so that I can turn the stair LEDs on/off using the Shelly, and also still have the manual push switches & sensors work too?
I purchased the Shelly 1PM Gen4 module (the red one) and have this staircase system installed, the Komigan KMG-3233 20 Step kit, the listing has a video showing how to wire the system.
I took some pics that are a bit closer, but would be happy to upload more if needed. The 1st pic is the power transformer, it has a regular 120v outlet connection (Black L, White N, Green Ground). Then from there, are 2 more wires (Blue -V, Red +V) that go to the left side of the controller in the next pic.
On the controller, the black/red wires on the right hand side are coming from the 2 manual light switches (the kind that are spring push toggle, not up on & down off). I used a pigtail connection with some wagos.The controller also has some motion/daylight sensors that trigger when it's darker.
I know that the Shelly relay likely may not adjust the brightness/speed of the Komigan controller, which is fine. If it can, that would be amazing but I mainly would like to control the LIGHT turning on/off. I don't want the entire unit powered off because I would think the daylight/motion sensors won't work.
