Manjuri and Nakul- Off-screen

Came across this short video posted by Daksh Sharma, the actor playing Nakul. They're singing the title track of Tere Liye, one of Ekta's popular shows from 2010-11. I didn't know Prachi Singh, aka Manjuri, could sing so well. Even Daksh seems to have a lovely voice. Such a wholesome video!

Also, I think that Daksh is a cutie.

Inconsistent timelines, plot holes, and pure nonsense

I think we're all really pissed off about the sudden villainization of Parth over the last four episodes or so. It's heartbreaking how they ruined our expectations, especially for people like me who were genuinely rooting for Parth and Vaish since Day 1. First, he slut-shamed her, and now he's suddenly turned into a full-blown villain. Actually, he's a monster, and a chapri one at that. The kind of crass language he uses for Vaish makes even Ranvijay look like a saint in comparison.

Now, I want to talk about some inconsistencies in the show. I know there are already many inconsistencies between Seasons 1 and 2 (for example, in Season 1, Parth was Karan and Nandini's son, but in Season 2, he's Karan and Tanya's son). I still gave that a pass because I thought, okay, maybe the writers are different from Season 1, or maybe they simply didn't remember all the details.

But what really bugs me are the inconsistencies within Season 2 itself. During the episode where Paravati came to Shanti Niketan, I clearly remember them saying that Parth had transferred the property to Tulsi without Karan and Nandini knowing. I also remember Karan and Nandini asking him, "Yeh tumne kab kiya, Parth?" and his response was, "Kuch saal pehle kiya tha."

Now, in the recent episodes, Parth is claiming that Karan forced him to transfer the property to Tulsi. Like, WTF? Do they even remember what they wrote?

Now, I haven't been watching the spin-off, but I've seen multiple posts about it, so I got to know about the whole baby-swap drama. It's so dumb. If the baby swap has already happened, then they've probably already taken a 7-8 month leap, right? Because it's already been about 1-2 months since the pregnancies of the 3 bahus were announced.

However, Kyunki is still operating on the same timeline as before. And in today's episode, Parth was shown talking to Dev, where Dev was asking him about his honeymoon with Vaish. So does that mean the spin-off is 7-8 months ahead while Kyunki is still in its original timeline, yet the characters are somehow communicating across two completely different timelines? 🤔

Please make it make sense to me.

Nandini is a big-time hypocrite and she was always wrong

I think we all argued a lot on this sub during Rio's entry whether Tulsi did the right thing by bringing Rio to Shanti Niketan. As viewers, most of us argued that Rio shouldn't have been brought to Shanti Niketan as it's unfair to Nandini. However, I was always against this thought. Her trauma is completely valid but that doesn't give her the right to treat others unfairly. And mind you, neither Nandini nor Tulsi know the villainous side of Rio, yet still Nandini was quick to blame Rio for assaulting Khushbu, and even before the Khushbu incident she kept implying that Rio is Ansh's 'khoon', so he'll be exactly like his father. She also kept blaming Tulsi how she is being unfair to her while conveniently forgetting that Tulsi literally killed her own son for her.

Now fast forward to today's episode, despite Tulsi being the witness for the domestic abuse that Vaishnavi faced from Parth, she refuses to believe that he would ever do something like that. And to add to that, she says, "mujhe nahi janna ki pati patni ke beech kya hua hai". Like seriously? Did you forget what your MIL once did for you? Tulsi could have also easily said "mujhe nahi jannna Ansh aur tumhare beech kya hua hai". Where's that empathy for your own daughter-in-law? I honestly lost respect for her the day she slutshamed Vaishnavi but today's dialogue was the final nail in the coffin.

Vaishnavi's styling is getting better

Since the last 2-3 episodes, Vaishnavi's hair, makeup and outfits have started looking nice. Girl is pretty, and I've been saying this over and over again, that she needed a better styling. Earlier, her hair used to look so shabby, makeup looked weird and uneven, and they used to make her wear unflattering suits that used to make her look way older than she really is. In today's episode, she looked so pretty in that baby pink suit. Makeup could still improve though.

Vaishnavi's character being degraded

Ugh, it's annoying to see how Rio is trying to create misunderstandings between Parth and Vaishnavi. And now, they're gonna further character assassinate her. This is so sad to see. I hope Rio is exposed soon.

Is it just me, or are the makers trying to make Samaira look like she's 16/17?

The child actor who plays Samaira-whose real name is Jia Narigara-is only 13 years old. The internet says she was born in 2013, which I believe because she's the same actress who played Kukki (Mr. Bajaj's daughter) in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 back in 2019. At that time, she was only 5 or 6 years old.

The thing is, I personally feel they're trying to make her look 16 or 17 now. If you look at her everyday pictures, she definitely looks like a normal 13-year-old kid. Also, I recently realized that she played Samaira before the 6-year show leap as well! So the only real difference post-leap is that they’re trying to make her look more mature with heavy makeup and fancy outfits. Don't get me wrong, I think she looks really nice, but it feels a bit weird considering she's only 13. Based on her post-leap styling, I couldn't even recognize that it was the same child actor. Also, when she tried to attempt suicide, Tulsi asks if a boy is the reason behind such a huge step, it definitely makes it feel like she is supposed to be portraying someone in the 10th or 11th grade. What do you all think?

Timelines and ages- Also, what's Rio's age?

Hi folks! I know this has been discussed many times here before, but I want to discuss it again. The timelines and ages are so messed up. Does anyone know how old Rio is supposed to be?

Before the leap, Tulsi and Mihir had been married for 38 years. They didn’t exactly reveal Parth's age prior to the leap, but he must have been at least 20 years old because he revealed that he transferred the property to Tulsi (the one that Baa gave him), and he said that he had done that a few years ago (prior to the 6-year leap). Now, assuming he was at least 20 years old before the 6-year leap, it implies that Karan had been married for at least 21 years, right? But then that would mean that Tulsi and Mihir got married at the age of 16?

I haven't watched season 1 fully, but I read that at the beginning they showed Mihir had already completed his MBA. Usually, people complete their MBA at the age of 23 or 24, if they do not take years off. They did a huge blunder here. It should have started with Mihir and Tulsi celebrating their 45th anniversary. This way, the timeline and the ages would have at least made some sense.

Another thing is that in one of the episodes where they were trying to promote Ekta's astrology app, they revealed that Noina was born in 1970. That would mean that her current age is 55. Given that Mihir and Noina were friends, I'm assuming Mihir is around the same age. So, then how the f* do they have a grandchild (Parth) who is almost 26 years old? And also, Rio is said to be much older than Parth, but they were trying to portray him as someone in his early 20s. None of this makes any sense.

Did Tulsi even bid goodbye to Manjuri and Rithik?

I couldn't care less about Angad and Vrinda, but I feel like it was completely unnecessary to send Manjuri and Rithuk to the spin-off. Does this mean that all the characters who moved to Jamshedpur aren't going to return to Shanti Niketan? How exactly is this supposed to work? Did Tulsi forget that she has two other sons and a daughter? This is so damn weird!

Angad and Vrinda are apparently on the verge of divorce, and they haven't even told Tulsi about it. Plus, I noticed that in Kyunki, they didn't even show Tulsi saying goodbye to Manjuri and Rithik! Like, WTF?

KSBKBT: Honestly Feeling Bad for Tulsi

See, I totally understand that Nandini has trauma, but it’s not Rio’s fault that he looks exactly like Ansh. After everything Ansh did to her, Tulsi even killed her own son for Nandini’s sake, which is something very few mothers could ever do. So what more can Tulsi realistically do now?

At this point, I feel like Nandini needs therapy and support to heal from her trauma, because Rio himself hasn’t done anything wrong. Otherwise, maybe it’s better if she and Karan move out instead of constantly forcing Tulsi to choose between her family members.

All her life, Tulsi has done things for others, and this time, if she wants to give equal rights to Ansh’s illegitimate son, and if that makes her happy, I don’t think that’s wrong.

What are your thoughts?

As if Rio’s “real” fake hair wasn’t fake enough, we’re about to see the fakest “fake” hair yet, lol. Seriously though, can’t they invest in a good-quality wig?

Tulsi vs Karan-Nandini over Rio - who is right?

I understand that whatever happened with Nandini in the past was horrible. However, do you think it’s fair to exclude Rio just because his biological father was a horrible human being? Or do you think there could be a middle ground? I mean, Tulsi already killed Ansh, and just because Rio looks like him, is it fair for him to be excluded from the family?

In the recent episode promo, Tulsi wants to give Rio his rights and wants him to come to Shanti Niketan, and this might cause a tiff between Tulsi and Karan-Nandini. What are your thoughts on this?

Also, I never watched Season 1 fully, so I’m curious to know how Nandini felt about Eklavya. What was her behavior toward him like? I mean, he used to live in the same house too, right? Even in this season, Eklavya’s name was brought up, and it was revealed that he and his mother died in a car accident.

Today's episode was lovely

After all the negative things Pari did in the past, this was her true redemption arc. She saved Sunny from Ranvijay, and now he’s out of her life. Even Ajay’s parents have come to realize this, and they are thankful to her. However, it’s understandable if they still don’t want her as their daughter-in-law. I think it would be nice to see Pari become financially and emotionally independent as well, and for the truth about her cheating on exams to come out too. She could get involved in the Virani business, or even start her own startup.

I hadn’t watched the spin-off since they stopped merging it with Kyunki, but after seeing so many posts, I decided to watch yesterday’s episode, and I’m so glad it’s no longer part of Kyunki. The spin-off is so cringe. Also, I don’t know why Vrinda always has that same constipated expression, and why she constantly needs to be rescued by a man. She’s only good at bechari-type roles. Even when she’s not in trouble, she still has that same expression
