Cheapest way to park as a commuter?

I’m commuting 5 days a week and I’m wondering what the cheapest options would be for parking. Should I by a permit? If so where? Should I depend on the meters?

Is there a free lot I could park in then take the bus to campus and if I ever needed it depend on the meters?

Extra Max Fried value

I got max fried up to leg 1 but then today I saw a rare pass that was really cheap so I bought it.

Now that value is kinda going to waste. What is the best way to maximize value? I don’t really wanna upgrade to iconic.

Is there a fast way of finding the loose cards vs the ones I got from packs?
