Greetings from the other Birmingham (Alabama). I’m wanting to ride the Football fever from the World Cup into club season. Supporting BCFC makes a lot of sense for me, as I am living in Birmingham, AL. BCFC is very similar to most of my American sports teams (nitty gritty and loyal, very similar to Mississippi State football). I like the idea of supporting a club like BCFC in the championship on a journey to get back to the prem. I’ve been watching the royal blue YouTube channel and it seems like you guys have some pretty passionate fans. Any tips for a new supporter? Stories to read/follow or players to read into? KRO

I’ve always been a huge sports fan. Growing up in the southern US, it’s been essentially the SEC, NBA, NFL, and MLB. This World Cup has gotten me really excited to dive into European soccer. I’m very intrigued about the promotion/relegation system. I’ve been reading about the different levels and competitions and it’s really fascinating. I’ve decided that I’d like to start following three clubs: FC Bayern, Palermo FC, and Birmingham City. I’ve chosen these three clubs specifically for my ties to those regions, and I like the mix between the powerhouse of Bayern and the nitty gritty fighting for promotion from BCFC and Palermo.

What are some things I can do to really dive into these clubs? Are there any good podcasts/youtube channels that I should follow?
