New BCFC Fan

Greetings from the other Birmingham (Alabama). I’m wanting to ride the Football fever from the World Cup into club season. Supporting BCFC makes a lot of sense for me, as I am living in Birmingham, AL. BCFC is very similar to most of my American sports teams (nitty gritty and loyal, very similar to Mississippi State football). I like the idea of supporting a club like BCFC in the championship on a journey to get back to the prem. I’ve been watching the royal blue YouTube channel and it seems like you guys have some pretty passionate fans. Any tips for a new supporter? Stories to read/follow or players to read into? KRO

NFL Legend Tom Brady: "Why does [European Football] fire so many coaches all the time? Tottenham had three coaches last year. Why is everyone firing everybody? Don't they realize the players play? I'm sure if you have Leo Messi as one of your forwards, you're not going to lose that much."

Filling the FPL off-season with daily footy games (while we ride out the World Cup)

Hi all 👋

Full disclosure: I built this, so mods please bin it if it's not allowed. Season's done, no FPL until August, and the World Cup's the only thing keeping us going. So I've been building FootyIQ (footyiq.games), a little site packed with daily football games to scratch the footy itch through the off-season.

The main one is Forgotten Footballer, where each day there's a mystery player and you guess who it is from hints (clubs, nationality, era and that) plus a blurred photo.

There's a few other daily games on there too, including a World Cup one to go with the tournament. Takes a couple of minutes. Would genuinely love feedback since you know your players better than most!

(WIP) I made an online Blues quiz - feedback appreciated!

I'm a big fan of the football cliches podcast and their 'happy hunting grounds' game. Inspired by that, I've made a quiz of my own in which you have to guess a goalscorer from a given blues match since 2002 (you can select the range of seasons you want).

I've used AI to help me to do this - this is partially to help me work on my skills using AI for work.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I think it's a bit too hard at the moment!

(mods - there's no ads on this and I make no money from it, this is just for fun)

Taking my family to St. Andrews for the first time

Hey everyone! Been following Blues for 20 years now and looking to take my family to their first Blues game next spring. We'd either take our trip overseas to England around the Wrexham game (April 17) or the last game against Burnley (May 1). However, I'm afraid they may be hard games to get tickets for.

Any advice on how to buy tickets for a group of 8? Directly from bcfc.com? From ST holders? Where's the best spots to sit?

Appreciate all the feedback!
