How does it look for me?
I tried finasteride 3 times, and the most recent time was the worst of them all. I got hit with side effects I’d never felt before, mainly persistent testicular pain. It’s been 4 months since I stopped taking the medication and the side effects persist but they fluctuate wildly. Since stopping in January, my mood and focus got better after a few weeks but the sexual sides and testicular pain persisted. I had a 2 week period in March where the sexual sides disappeared completely and I felt totally normal except for the testicular pain (which also fluctuates), but then my libido completely disappeared for a few weeks. My only symptoms at that point were sexual. I had another 2 week period in late April where I felt totally normal except for the testicular pain, but that ended last week when I started sleeping terribly again and I got horribly depressed for about a week. My mood and focus got a lot better since then again, but the sexual sides persist. I have been getting morning wood again and I have a spontaneous erection here and there, but my libido is just absent now.
Is it a good sign that I’ve fluctuated this intensely this early on? Is it a bad sign? Compared to stories I’ve read on here it doesn’t look like I’ve crashed as bad as others and it seems like I’m a mild case. I’m curious to your feedback because you guys probably know better than anyone.
