Decent Affordable 35mm Lenses

I’d like to apologize to SillyGoth in advance…

So I recently found the deal of a lifetime and picked up this Leica M2 KS15-4 variant for $150. Yes, $150.

I never intended to own a Leica at this point in my life but obviously I couldn’t pass up such an otherworldly opportunity.

I currently have the Canon 50mm f/1.4 ltm adapted to it, but I’ve really been feeling the itch for a decently sharp and similarly fast 35mm M mount lens to take advantage of the frame lines and also just because I enjoy the focal length more.

I’m torn between the obvious contenders from voigtlander. I really don’t want to spend more than $500-$600.

I guess what all this boils down to, is which option is the best all-rounder?

I’ve read that the 35mm Nokton 1.4 leaves some things to be desired when it comes to sharpness, particularly in corners.

The color skopar 2.5 seems to be sharp and compact but I think I’d like something a bit faster for indoor shooting and lower-light street photography.

The option I think I’m leaning toward the most is the 35mm 1.7 Ultron ASPH. I’ve read good things about it and it seems to check all of the boxes, but I’d like some more firsthand input before pulling the trigger.

Of course I’d much prefer actual Leitz glass, but it’s out of the question for the time being. I just want some sort of middle ground. (Sorry SillyGoth)

I’m also not against any of the newer Chinese lenses that are popping up all over the place if they fit the bill and are within my price range.

Thank you all in advance!
