Cash Generated in 2026 - Goal to $100K

Hey all - The main goal I have for 2026 is to manufacture $100k of cash (premiums, dividends and realized gains) off a $220k portfolio (on January 1st). With half the year in the books, here is how I’m doing so far.

If this is the first time you’ve seen any of my stuff, I view my active portfolio as a set of “funds”. Which is basically a fancy way of saying they’re tiered by market cap along with fewer less consequential things..

H1 2026 total cash generated: +$66,323

Portfolio as of June 30: $364,200

  • Fund I Mega Caps: +$3,035
  • Fund II Accelerators: +$39,398
  • Fund III Big Bets: +$23,890

Overall there were 114 transactions for the period, more than I thought to be honest. I did a few defensive positions and added into positions that jacked that number up more than I thought. Here is the list:

Fund I — Mega Caps (+$3,035)

$MSFT — +$1,302 | held 209 days | OPEN
$AMZN — +$1,096 | held 207 days, then re-opened | OPEN (new cycle)
$NVDA — +$637 | held 14 days | CLOSED

Fund II — Accelerators (+$39,398)

$AMD — +$29,252 | held 226 days | CLOSED
$PLTR — +$4,720 | held 71 days | OPEN
$ANET — +$4,178 | two cycles, 100 + 44 days | CLOSED
$HOOD — +$1,248 | held 156 days | CLOSED

Fund III — Big Bets (+$23,896)

$PL — $18,406 | core held 293 days | OPEN (biggest position)
$ASTS — +$2,640 | held 32 days | OPEN
$LUNR — +$1,721 | 28-day cycle closed, new cycle OPEN
$RKLB — +$678 | 6-day + 3-day cycles | CLOSED
$ONDS — +$451 | 8-day + 29-day cycles | CLOSED

I was actually doing insanely good until June when the space industry went to hell. Slowly recovering from that and expect to hit that 100K goal unless I experience another crazy month like that. Sheesh!

Buy-Write Example with ONDS for 10% return in 28 days.

Hey all - Lot's of questions from my last post so consider this a real world case on how I do Buy-Writes for cash generation.

Some Details up front:

  • This is essentially a synthetic CSP. I do this because my account restricts CSPs (Retirement account).
  • ONDS had a pullback when I made this purchase from the $11's (I believe). I made the bet that it wouldn't drop below $9, and if it did, my cost basis would lower and I wouldn't mind owning it below $9 anyways.
  • I know I can't predict the market, so I'm aiming to manufacture my own returns here.

STEPS

  1. May 21st, I initiated a dual step transaction where I bought 500 shares of ONDS and immediately sold a CC at less than the stock price. In this case bought at 9.07 and had a strike price at $9.00
  2. Up front I get paid over $450 for essentially $4500 in invested capital. My account has fees, which is why you see 9.98% return versus 10%+
  3. June 18th I expect to get assigned, given the price is hovering around $9.50 at the moment
  4. Look for other opportunities and run a similar cycle.

Basically, I got paid to park my money and let time do the rest.

If you recall, the week after I initiated this position, the trump administration announced heavy investments in drone tech, which caused ONDS to go above $13. I tried my best to avoid that noice as 10% return in a month is good enough, not worth it being greedy. Worked out for me in this case, but sometimes it still rips up. Either way, be happy with what you structured.

To close this off, this is not my recommendation to buy ONDS. It's a risky one that could go either way and it was a small bet for me as a whole.

CC Premium YTD

Was hoping for my first ever 6 figure year but it’s not looking likely. 80k will still be a first for me and, if I can maintain this YoY, would be free to finally quit work.

Still own the majority of the above and all are still in the green except MSFT and ASTS.

Planned Purchases For Next Week - Accelerator Sleeve

A view of my screener from a screener which has made me some coin over the last 3 years.

Long story short, if it's above the line, I'll consider it and perform some more DD.

ANET and PLTR I already own so will add and add some more. Their GM%, FCF% and revenue growth is too good to pass up. Don't know too much about APP so may bypass that one. HOOD I'll get in most likely as they're margins are crazy as well.

What is your “why”?

I was watching some YouTube videos today on financial freedom and one of them made got me thinking. It was how this person’s “why” changed on financial independence from shallow reasons to ones that were more human in a way.

What is everyone’s reason on this sub? Not being told what to do anymore? Free time? Live a life of leisure?

Would love to hear from everyone.

Trying to turn my active portfolio, which started at $163,000 into a million by the end of 2027. I really, really want to get out of the rat race.

Month over Month growth: 19.13%

Total Cash Generated: $32,598

Active Portfolio Value: $274,828

Amount in Cash: Roughly $75,000

Had or Have positions in: AMD, MSFT, AMZN, HOOD, PLTR, RKLB, PL, ONDS, LUNR, ANET

Cash is generated through the selling of stock, premium gained from selling covered calls and to a much lesser extent, dividends.

The "Maintenance Costs" you see on the screenshot is the cost of rolling positions. My big mistake this month was buying to close MSFT anticipating a surge post earnings. Yikes...

For those interested, portfolio growth is 70% over an 8 month period. I doubt these types of months are sustainable, but I do target a monthly growth rate of 5-6 %
