Working on a collage for a friend’s memorial.

Howdy folks, I’m working on a collage for a friend’s memorial. Please see request instructions below. Let me know what a fair price is for this request. Unsure what the going rate should be.

  1. Please remove all people in photo except for the woman circled in red. See photo #2.

  2. Please center her on the bridge.

  3. Please remove all structures in the background, including the reflections of the buildings in the water. The background space can be filled with more trees.

  4. Please adjust the color of the blue flags on the bridge to neon green.

  5. Finally, please upscale the photo for print up to 11x14.

Thank you, all!

An honest review of Kadi Video

So I had to find out the truth about Kadi Video. Some people love her and others absolutely hate her. I don’t internet very much so I had to find out for myself. I bought two movies, Superman and Longlegs.

The package arrived timely, which was nice. The cases were shrink wrapped with faux pricing stickers that gave it a vintage appearance. Slipcases were good quality but then I popped in one the tapes. One thing was apparent off bat. If there’s any love put into the production, it’s all about the case. Not the recording.

The movie wasn’t panned and scanned. It was cropped and squeezed. It looked like there was zero color testing. When converting modern movies, it’s important to check those bright or awful dark scenes appear well on the VHS. And then the last thing that got under my skin. Instead of filling the additional film on the tape with commercials before the film or a short or some sort of commentary at end, Kadi Video just looped the first 15 minutes or so of the movie I just watched. I thought that was incredibly lazy.

So here’s an honest review of Kadi Video. I give her a 3/10. The videos make nice display pieces but don’t bother if you’re interested in watching the movie. There’s no love put into the recording and it shows. Or doesn’t.

Recording is slightly off

I have a VCR that plays tapes perfectly. I tried recording a tape but every few frames, the picture drops when I play said tape. Audio still plays but screen goes blue. Opened it up and cleaned the head but noticed something. I felt a slight notch on the head that I normally don’t feel on my other VCRs. Is this the cause of the improper recording?

How intuitive is using a Panasonic AG-7350 model?

I’ve never used a professional deck before but interested in learning how to use one. My primary use is to archive my collection. Do you folks have any thoughts on this model, or if it’s worth getting something like this just to archive movies?
