This was a question I thought about a lot after trolls world tour, whatever happened to hickory and dickory, and is there a chance that hickory's was meant to be a country troll, like while yes he was born a yodeler troll, his heart grew to love and belongs to the country troll community, proving you don't have to be one thing, he cant still love yodeling but be a country troll by heart, in terms of the fact he seemed to like the lifestyle/culture of the country trolls, him sitting with the other country trolls, him still using the southern accent after revealing his true identity when he says "she learnt that from watching me*, and the fact he seemed to be kinda a misfit of his own kind, not fitting in with other yodeler trolls but easily making friends with three pop trolls *poppy, branch, and biggie*, he didnt seem as passionate about yodeling as his brother dickory was vs how passionate hickory was when crooning country songs on his acoustic guitar *doesn't mean he hates his yodeler troll biological identity, he just loves country more*, maybe he grew to love the country lifestyle whenever he visited lonesome flats before the events of world tour as he sorta was a bounty hunter living in the desert during the events of world tour, maybe visiting the flats for supplies to live based on some deleted versons of poppy and the gang meeting hickory for the first time, the whole stealing poppy’s string thing was probably mostly Barb and dickory's idea anyway and felt super guilty about what he did like the look he gave poppy as she admits her mistakes was not just an “I’m sorry that happened to you” look but more so an “I’m sorry I’m about to do this to you” look, he even tried to give poppy a chance to run and escape before dickory snatched the pop string from her and gave it to Barb*, who knows, maybe he'll resigned himself to lonesome flats as an ex-bounty hunter, even though he would have to earn his right to stay after the stunt he pulled during the chase scene where he broke poppy, branch, and biggie out of jail and broke their jailcell door, meaning lots of repairs and trust building, in terms of jobs I was thinking maybe he started out with repairing some damages that Barb or he caused in lonesome flats or helping out in saloons before maybe earning enough of delta’s trust to become her deputy in a fantastic twist of irony on his part*, who knows maybe he'll score a date with the mayor of lonesome flats herself delta dawn yes, i ship him with delta dawn, i mostly just think its cute and fits well into the universe, think outlaw x sharif/mayor vibes. especially sense while barb sorta got her redemtion arc, which we love that for her, but hickory didn't and we never got an answer on what happened to him, plus he was ment to return in trolls: holiday in harmony but it got scrapped, JUSTICE FOR OUR MAN HICKORY.
