I finally watched Trolls world tour and I loved it! The Rock trolls are my favorite. So I decided to make an oc that is one lol. Meet Hertz, he's a rock troll and friends with Riff. :]

I drew this one mainly because I felt like they did NOT do Branch's movie design justice in the shows, so I decided to fix that, but I can't take all the credit for this one. That goes to Antinatrey (the person behind the art of the second slide), another fellow Trolls fan. Their designs is what inspired me to make this and my "Thorn with edge" posts. Only did the first movie cause that the only one that I’ve seen. Once the second one hits Tubi I’ll watch. Anyways if anyone wants an explanation on these just ask.

What the hell was I on 😭😭

A little meme I made poking fun at those TikTok’s about Branch loosing his blue colors after Trolls.

So, very random and kinda niche, but I took a bit of time to skim over Trolls The Musical Jr., and discovered something that actually made me cry even though it’s a frickin’ children’s play script out of all things.

Branch showed a deep appreciation for the Trolls’ version of Hamlet, meanwhile, Poppy wants to modernize it and dumb it down into a gimmick and turn every sad moment into a joke or jingle. Branch was appalled and not only did he take a liking for the older language and nuances being used (which I personally like), but Branch DIRECTLY stated that if we take the sad or emotional scenes away from art, it takes the life out of it.

As someone who loves art and has wanted to make a living out of it for most of my life, knowing that my comfort character and special interest who means a LOT to me DIRECTLY say these things means everything to me and more, especially given the Trolls franchise’s many flaws!

…Then, believe it or not, Branch gets villainized for it! Poppy then scolds him and says he has “no vision” then forces and gaslights him into letting them dumb everything down. That is an AWFUL lesson to teach kids (or anybody), to villainize and look down on those who appreciate and respect art, like me, Branch, and all of us fans!

P.S.

This entire musical’s plot was a giant plot hole, too. Basically contradicted the events of Trolls Holiday by having Trollstice still be a thing, but changing it to Trolls doing theater instead of being eaten. And for who knows why… CHEF IS BACK, then kidnaps everyone again and it’s like True Colors and Just Sing had a haunted demon-child.
