Why did the Challenger 2's export ventures fail so miserably compared to other NATO MBT's like the M1 Abrams, Leopard 2 and even the Leclerc?
Basically the title. The Abrams and Leopard 2 are present in military fleets all around the world and even the Leclerc has a decent foothold in the Middle-East.
I'm aware of the CR2's shortcomings, but were they really so numerous as to cause basically every attempt of exporting the tank to fail as hard as they did?
