Consumer staples, healthcare & utilities worth investing in?

I’m starting a DCA approach (5-10y timeline) and was interested in people’s experience to help me define best approach.

Is a Developed world (80%) + Emerging market (20%) approach best, or is it worth getting more detailed with splits between different sectors?

I was researching how in crashes the SP500 would drop, but consumer staples, healthcare and utilities still go up YoY. So is it worth not taking just broad funds which are generally tech-heavy, but also these defensive sectors specifically?

Any long term investors in consumer staples, healthcare and/ or utilities here?

AWU1 only lasting 1 day?

I got the AWU1 early last year at 98% battery health. It’s now at 88%. I turned off WiFi and lowered display to min brightness. Don’t use cellular. Don’t want to remove AOD.

Any tips?

I had the SE for a few years and upgraded for the battery and face size. But 1 year in, it’s hard to justify 300€ for a smart watch that has changed so much in such little time… even if I love it.

I started charging it with Mac socket for speed. Maybe that’s frying my battery health?

Do you invest monthly or every 2-6 months? [IBKR]

Hi, I’m looking to add 200-300 monthly to IBKR (EU-based). Currently thinking 70% SPYL (SP500 Acc) and 30% VWCE (All-World Acc).

Do people invest monthly or what’s the best frequency? Considering experience in average returns vs commission per trade.

I’m asking as IBKR commission per trade: “European: Tiered is usually 0.05% of the trade value with a minimum of €1.25, while Fixed is 0.10% with a minimum of €3.00”.

Edit: Trade Republic seems to have a higher cash protection and 0€ trade commission on saving plans, so will likely switch!

Edit 2: given poor sentiment towards Trade Republic I’ll probably stick with Revolut as get some free trades via my subscription, and on paper has the same protection as TR.

Hi, I’m starting as a new PO and wanted to gain some insight into managing stakeholders expectations.

For example, if your epic is refined and ready for dev, but stakeholders want it ASAP to test it? Like I can prioritise, but I’m not devs boss?

And if Support complain about bugs and tickets are made, they still need to go in the backlog and be prioritised, so will take a month to solve anyway.

Are these timelines normal? I come from consulting where I could kinda control everything and timelines. I am enjoying PO role a lot, but managing expectations and timelines is tricky as I can’t really do much except prep stuff and prioritise?

Any tips for really standing out in a Product role let me know!
