First Chris Reeve knife

My first CRK! Small sebenza 31, lefty insingo in MC

For some reason , finding a small sebenza that’s lefty and in the insingo variant was difficult to find!

I can’t believe this.. but..

After a 10+ year hiatus of buying non benchmade knives, (normally spyderco) I have realized that there is much more than just performance when it comes to purchasing and owning a product and while I’m not giving up any of my spydies (well, my keepers) I have recently had a ridiculous customer service interaction with them (SPDCO) that made me realize they don’t stand on business when it comes to the end user or the customer. While benchmade on the other hand, will literally send you free parts without even charging you shipping and offers a truly great lifetime warranty. As I get older, I start to see the value in this more and more. Sure, their prices are high , but have y’all seen spydercos recent price increase? Not all are crazy but ALOT are. $571 msrp for the sage 5 in Rex-121 and 450+ for the chaparral is bananas. That being said, I have pretty much sold everting except my ultra exotic steels from spyderco , stuff I can’t get anywhere else and am deciding to go back to benchmade as my daily user that will see the brunt of the yearly use and abuse.

My question to y’all is this : Is benchmades magnacut worthy? Does it perform well ? Or are you sharpening / stropping it a lot ? I can’t find any edge retention tests on the mini adira specifically, anywhere. Because here is what I have boiled my two choices down to.

1: The mini adira
2 The mini Adamas.

I know their cruwear is ran harder and I appreciate that but I really like the look of the adira as well, especially in that blue and gray color-way.

Thank you for your input and feedback on this matter in advance.

WTS: Koch Tools KTC-2, Microtech Bee, Medford Merc 1

Wuzhattnin knerfswerp☝️

Today I have a few for your consideration.

Timestamp and Video

All knives are in the same video. This is how I can assure Imgur will work, whenever I add more than one video, it says “failed to upload”

  1. Really cool, semi rare now, Koch tools KTC-2 . This thing is cool if I’ve ever seen cool. It has a cutting blade with lots of attitude and rizz as well as a pry bar/ bottle opener for you dummies that use your blade as a screwdriver or those things that knives shouldn’t do (you know who you are 😂)
This makes its super easy to have as a sleek and still fun to use “multi tool” that always gets compliments and convos stemming from it. Blade steel on both tools is CPM-S35VN, titanium pocket clip and hardware. The blade is compound ground with hollow grind on the main bevel and flat ground at the tip, it is also a locking blade with a liner lock on bearings and the pry is a slip joint on PB washers, it’s like having two knives with two different actions ! Lots of fun. Has been touched up on the diamond strop but factory bevel is still there after 6 years! Didn’t get much hard use with this one but has been carried and used to slice open remedial things. Comes with original box and docs.

Microtech Bee Signiture series: This is one of those pieces that I bought two of to have in two different configurations and I decided to sell this one, it is a beast if needed for those extra.. dicey situations, however it is also useful as a utility blade because you can use both hands while working and not let go of the knife. Very secure grip. Fully serrated, It is new/ unused in the box, comes with kydex sheath, pocket clip, and metal COA.

Medford Merc 1: Got this from a buddy in a trade and I really don’t want to sell it but my car needs some super expensive parts and so, toys gotta go first. This is the nicest otf I have ever handled, kinda crazy coming from a company that doesn’t specialize in them. Screwless design, reversible pocket clip, CPM-S45VN steel, hollow ground dagger blade with factory edge and is vicious in every way. Very handsome too. Comes with box, pouch, coa and box swag. Lifetime warranty .
