My mum is 85 years old and can handle the iPad I gave her fairly well, but not an iPhone because of the smaller text size and battery life. She uses an old Nokia type phone instead.

Is there a way for her to receive and send messages on her iPad? It has a SIM slot but I can’t simply tell her to remove the SIM every time she leaves the house.

Any possible solutions out there for this?
