Yona of the Dawn is such a special series to me, and this art book is incredibly high-quality and showcases Mizuho Kusanagi's artwork perfectly. Although the main story has already concluded, there have been some extra Gaiden chapters that expand the main story and the final one will be released soon! I'm not ready to say goodbye to all of these characters that are dear to me, but I'm excited to see what Kusanagi comes up with next (if she continues to make manga)!

I know that this will likely be removed, but I wanted to update anyone who is wondering about the status of some Denpa/Kuma lisences they have pre-ordered. I just got an email from B&N that these titles have new release dates. Here is to hoping there are no other delays after this 🤞 I'm looking forward to all of these, but also understand the obstacles that many businesses are currently facing (Diamond Comic Distributors filing for bankruptcy definitely didn't do publishers like Denpa any favors).

Here is my final June haul and I've had such a fantastic month of reading and collecting so far! I also decided to grab a few volumes from a (new to me) publisher Futekiya! Based on first impressions, the volumes themselves feel super high quality and I can't wait to read them!! The only thing that is a slight bummer is that, the main reason I ordered the volumes from Kinokuniya was because I really wanted to check out Beast's Storm and it said it was in-stock at the time I placed the order... but it did end up being OOS 😭 Since I'm unfamiliar with Futekiya I'm not entirely sure if it'll be reprinted but I really hope so 🤞✨️ I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled!

What perfect timing! I accidentally forgot to pre-order vol 9 of Fool Night (I'm keeping up with too many ongoing series lol) so I went to look for it in person and once I got home, I saw that it is getting an anime! 🌿 So many of my favorite series have been getting fantastic adaptations in the last few years (Dungeon Meshi, Ikoku Nikki, The Summer Hikaru Died), have gotten new season announcements (Skip & Loafer, Yona of the Dawn, Dorohedoro), or are getting adaptations soon (a Witch's Life in Mongol, Hirayasumi, The Credits Roll Into the Sea). (Now to manifest Season 2 of Land of the Lustrous ✨️🌠)

Fool Night is easily one of my favorite ongoing series and it just continues to get better as the story progresses. I highly recommend checking it out and supporting the physical release if you're able!

I've been putting it off for months now... but I desperately needed to organize my manga shelf. I should've taken a picture beforehand lol. There were manga piles all over my apartment and pretty much none of the volumes were organized in the slightest. Even after packing a few boxes of manga I read recently and storing them until I move next... my shelf still looks so full 😅

I used to have a larger space and quite a few shelves and now the only space I have to display my manga is a small bookshelf that I also double as a TV stand. Someday I'll have plenty of space to display my entire collection ✨️ June is a pretty large pre-order month for me so I'll probably have to reorganize and pack again before too long!

I told myself that I wouldn't start any new series that are difficult to obtain.... but what can I say? I guess that I like the chase 🤣 I decided to check my local used bookstore and they had Emanon vol 1 for $7.50 and I've wanted to read it for a while... so it came home with me! I've had some pretty good luck in the past with perpetually OOS/OOP series like finding Spirit Circle vol 4 for a great price recently and also getting all of Silver Spoon last year for $6-8 ea. So, maybe that luck will continue (hopefully) 🍀🤞

Although not Manga related, my sister very kindly gifted me a card binder with the intention I'd fill it with silly guys. My sister has a "silly guys" binder filled with all kinds of goofy Magic/Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh cards and I've always loved flipping through it. So, she gave me a binder with a few cards to start it off so now my journey to fill my own binder with silly guys! ✨️ The Sentret and Smeargle are the first additions to my silly collection!

My birthday is coming up soon, so I decided to treat myself a little! A few of them are gifts (Takahashi from the Bike Shop (which I LOVED), Love on the Tip of the Tongue, and Punks Triangle) and the rest are a little mix of pre-orders and (trying) to catch up with some ongoing series! I keep telling myself I'm not gonna start any new series and it is a lie **every** time ☠️ There are just too many fantastic series out there!

Have you read anything that I picked up during this haul? Anything you're really looking forward to reading this month? I'm personally really excited to start Billy Bat! I really enjoyed 20th Century Boys and Monster so I'm sure I'm gonna love Billy Bat just as much! ✨️

I still have a few volumes on the way, but I already struggled to get everything in one picture so I'll post a second part later 😂 I've had an amazing month of reading so far (I caught up with Yona the other day and volume 45 left on a major cliffhanger 😭) and I'm really excited to read all of these!

I went to check my mail and unexpectedly found vol 3 of Me and the Alien Mumu! I really enjoyed the first 2 volumes and I've been really impressed with Kodama so far!

Now, I'm off to read with my kitty ✨️

I'm about to start volume 26, and man, Yona has occupied my thoughts a ton lately. I've only watched the anime and this is my first time reading the manga... and it has the potential to easily become one of my all-time favorites! After I finish reading each volume I'm like "damn, that was the best one yet"... and then the next one proceeds to be even better.
