“Play how you want” goes both ways btw

Something that I’ve needed to learn was that people are allowed to play how they want…. If casual guys wanna load up and mindlessly shoot bots so be it? They can play how they want

The SAME is true for those mega sweaty YY movement demons

https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/s/hLjg1u089t

Some guy posted a clip of him getting obliterated by a YY movement sweat and everyone and talking about how awful and disgusting that type of gameplay is

Guys we should let EVERYONE play how they want ?

If that means getting your HDR and sitting on a roof fine or of that means YY sliding movement breaking ankles ADHD gameplay fine

We can’t be okay with boring dad gameplay but draw the line at cracked out movement gameplay because it’s “sweaty and embarrassing” we either let EVERYONE play how they want or we don’t

Misconception about PCs and their effect on warzone

After listening to the average casual guy talk about “pc guys” on here it’s clear to me there’s a disconnect on here about what owning and using a PC for warzone actually does…

*Casual and consol guys - players who have a expensive gaming PC for warzone aren’t like automatically transformed into these ultra sweaty mega pro players who have a crazy advantage over you *

This is a misconception.. of course playing on the computer especially a expensive one is better than playing on the Xbox or PlayStation five no one would argue otherwise but the differences are small and fine tuned and in the details

A high-quality gaming PC is going to get you two things over console. It’s gonna get you more frames probably 100/120 ish more frames. Secondly, it’s gonna get you a better refresh rate, which is only applicable if your monitor is capable of also having that refresh rate. The real advantage comes from a controller with paddles but that’s a different conversation..

Those things help ALOT but

They don’t make you a good player. I cannot stress this enough.

IF YOU ARENT good at shooting your gun and winning close quarters gun fights … THOSE TWO THINGS will not magically help you! Both of those things I just explained are icing on the cake. They’re taking a great player to an excellent player…

If a blue collar construction worker with an Xbox 360, who maybe gets two kills in a regular game at Best Buy’s a $4000 computer he’s not gonna get any more kilts because he’s not good enough to win gun fights . Those frames aren’t gonna do ANYTHING for him

my point - casual guys and lower skill guys please stop blaming cross play or “PC no life sweat lords” for your deaths …their computers are not the reason you’re dying they would gun you on console too

The computer is the icing on the cake. The frames and the refresh rate do not make that much of a difference, gun skill IS gun skill.

Excited for the full Warzone reset

I think Warzone is due for a full reset because the game has become something it’s not supposed to be, and hopefully this full reset can save it

Sure, we have great stuff like grapples and we have great gun play and great movement right now

But we need to fix the cheating issue, obviously and more importantly, we need to fix the casual issue with the new iteration of Warzone in the fall

We cannot continue to divide the player base with casuals and non-casual. It’s never been like that it doesn’t need to be like that it serves no purpose.

We should have one mode called Boot Camp, where player zero to level 30 can learn the ropes and then get kicked out at a certain level

The issue with casuals is we are conditioning players to get worse and worse and worse overtime and that might be OK with some people maybe a typical blue-collar 40-year-old dad who doesn’t care about getting better and that that’s fine.. The issue is as more and more people join casuals ( which they are allowed to do ) those people who have been conditioned to become terrible players are becoming increasingly unhappy, which creates a cycle of perpetual hate for the game that was all created with the inclusion of casuals

We need to keep everyone in one single player pool that way everyone is happy. The bad players will get better even against their own will the system works, and it’s worked for a while. It’ll work again.

Remember guys, this is a competitive first person shooting game. It’s not a casual experience. It never has been it never will be. You gotta compete.

Do it right

Question for snipers

People who typical spend most the game sniping..

Do ALL of you guys just eat napalms and PA’s??

So often when I find a camping hard scoping player who’s just laying down on a for 10 minutes straight that player NEVER moves away when I use a streak on them

They just sit there and EAT my napalm or PA

It’s like they are so obsessed with hardscoping they are willing to die to my streak just to get that one last shot off?

Is everyone like that? Are there actual snipers out there who MOVE OUT OF THE WAY When they get airstriked ?

Is this player just that bad he didn’t notice ??

Guys look at your radar?

I swear some people literally don’t look at their mini map or maybe they don’t even use headsets?

I pulled up on this team yesterday in REGULAR mode ( so yes these are real humans ) and they literally did not even process that my car was driving at them

Do these guys not have headsets? Do they not see a massive red car on their mini map? Look I get People can be bad lol. I have buddies that are bad and miss shots and have terrible movement

But how can you be THAT bad that you don’t glance at your mini map? It’s literally on your screen man? Guys just use your mini map and get free information?

Also side note * these real players are the same guys coming in here complaining about cheaters and crying about grapples and demanding movement nerfs… take everything you hear with a grain of salt lol

I wouldn’t put stock into someone’s opinion if they don’t even look at their mini map

It’s not supposed to be easy

I’ve seen a lot of new players and a lot of returning players coming back to Warzone start to complain about “sweats” and I think it’s time for a reminder

This is a competitive first person shooting game

It’s NOT SUPPOSED to be a fun easy going casual experience

That’s the nature of a COMPETITIVE online shooting game right guys? If you’re new or returning the really good guys are gonna slam you….

That doesn’t mean the really talented players are jobless subhuman golems that live in cellars? They are normal guys like you? They are just good at the game?

If you get off work and play 45 min a week on a 15 year old Xbox your gonna have a hard time and that’s OK that’s how competitive shooting games work

Let’s recalibrate our expectations… your not supposed to be handed wins and fun games because you downloaded the game

It’s a competition

How can you not LOVE grapples?

Warzone is a fast paced arcade movement based shooter and grapples are the EPITOMY of that. They make the gameplay loop fun and actually make fights UNIQUE

"durrr if i wanted to be spider man I would buy spider man!!!"

Just get used to grapples they are fun when u get the hang of em

Friendly reminder that UAVs exist …?

This happens to me about 600 times a week and I’m TIRED of it

I pop a UAV and get the most average kill of all time and the hamburger I killed goes “HOW DID HE KNOW WHERE I WAS … HES HACKIN!!!!!”

people, UAVs exist

We gotta stop crying EVERYTIME someone kills us

Wether it’s UAV or footstep audio or live ping or whatever - there’s a MILLION reasons someone knew where you were before we get to “he’s hacking”

morons like this are what get good players shadow banned. Let’s be better and understand that it’s okay to die. It’s not the end of the world. Just accept it and move on

u/TackleOk1006 — 1 month ago

PLEASE stop reporting people who have UAVs and can see you

This stuff happens to me a dozen times a week

I have an advanced UAV up and I’m currently farming the entire hamburger team. I kill one then I CLEARLY see the other one on the hill so I chal him and delete him… what does he do 30 seconds later ?

Go in the chat and tells the whole lobby I’m cheating then his entire team reported me and BAM I got shadow banned for a week

^that entire process happens to me once a month

PLEASE GUYS

Just because someone knows exactly where you are and doesn’t miss any shots is not a “automatic cheater”

People have UAVs, people have low recoil guns

There was legit nothing special about any of these kills but I get PUNISHED? Why because I killed some 38 year old dad who hasn’t a clue how to play the game ?

Let’s be better please, stop reporting

u/TackleOk1006 — 1 month ago

New players… please don’t play scared

Something I see often from new guys and lower skilled players is the tendency to play SCARED

What do I mean by that? You’ll never win gunfights and you’ll never get better by playing conservative and scared to challenge

In this video, this guy gets me EXTREMELY weak. All he had to do was push me while I was playing up it was THAT simple. I probably lose the gunfight if he dos that ..

There’s no excuse to not push out in that situation

Instead, he sits behind cover because he’s too scared to make a move on me? And he gets slammed 5 seconds later

Lower skilled guys TAKE CHANCES if you get someone weak push him… sure you might still get see but at least you went out trying?

No one ever wins by sitting behind a rock

THIS is why grapples are amazing

This is a controversial take, but grapple hooks are the best addition they have made this game in the past 2+ years

Me and my team found an entire rooftop burger sniping team. Back in the day there would be no way for us to kill these guys. They would have mines at every entrance and their snipers would kill us if we tried to cross in the open.

Thanks to grapples, all we have to do is get a PA then we can grapple to the roof and take the height and effortlessly clear out the rats

THIS IS WHY grapples are so amazing

A big reason why this game started to die
Was the insane amount of rooftop campers. Grapple hooks allow for a wider skill gap, which means I’ll be able to kill rooftop camping players faster and more efficiently.

People should be REWARDED for their aggression.. REWARDED for their fast paced gameplay

Any feature that disincentives rooftop sniper stack teams is a GREAT feature

Starting 50 mg for migraines

Everything I read makes me so scared to start this specific drug. People talk about the terrible side effects and it’s scary and it’s making me not want to do it. I get really bad tension migraines , and I’m trying to use this as a substitute for constant sumatriptan/Advil/Tylenol.

Is it really that bad is 50 mg really too much? I also smoked marijuana and I’ve seen people be absolutely fine Smoking weed and people not be fine…

Is it worth it ?

Your device and your controller matter more than you know ..

Something I’ve realized after i spent a lot of time on this community is a lot of people don’t really fundamentally understand how UNIMAGINABLY important the role of the quality of their controller and device play in determining how good you can be at warzone

When I say this I refer to 5 things

1 controller paddles ( allows you to shoot WHILE sliding and jumping)

2 overclocked controller ( lowers input delay )

3 PC ( allows for high frames )

4 240 hertz monitor ( faster response time )

5 custom audio ( better footsteps )

I want people to understand that if you use none of those things…. You are at a INCREDIBLE disadvantage in every fight.

* maybe you don’t care to spend the money or just wanna play for fun so if that’s the case then this doesn’t apply to you *

My BIGGER point relates to cheating

Please understand if you’re a casual player and you play a few hours a week on a 15 year-old Xbox on a flatscreen TV with no paddles and no monitor and no computer.. you are literally playing a DIFFERENT game then someone who has everything I listed

The reason this is relevant is because there’s been a huge epidemic of false bans and false shadow bans in the community

The problem is we got guys playing on 15-year-old Xboxs with no headsets and they’re running into people who have everything I listed and the people who have all those things are legitimately moving at a different speed playing a DIFFERENT game than these guys… that’s how much your setup matters

So please next time someone effortlessly shoots you across the map or is able to perfectly track you while also jumping and sliding please understand that person probably just has paddles on an overclocked controller on a three grand computer with a crazy good monitor..

Setup MATTERS

Warzone IS NOT a sweaty game

I know I know but please let me explain guys

Warzone isn’t overly sweaty… it’s actually the complete opposite

Take a look at this data. The average run of the mill guy who gets off work and plays for an hour has a 0.9 K/D… that’s the AVERAGE.

That’s objectively very very bad. That player dies more than he kills.

What’s even more insane is Kd of 2 or higher puts you in the top 1% and 3.5 and up is top 0.1%

What does this mean. The average guy is TERRIBLE at this game. Sorry there’s no other way to say it lol

That leads me to believe this game is not SWEATY because sweaty implies there’s many many really good players running around.

And that’s FACTUALLY not true. There’s very few above average players and EVEN LESS amazing players …

So the reason it feels so sweaty and everyone complains about sweats is because the MAJORITY of the player base is so bad that anyone who isn’t *awful* gets labeled as a sweat

It’s less about how good the good players are and more about how truly bad the bad players are… and bad players outnumber good players by a wide margin

The game isn’t sweaty… your just so bad that everyone you run into is better than you

This is why I’m so anti casual mode

I mean this has gone too far

CASUALS RANKED !?!???!?!?!?!?!?

your not supposed to have dedicated rewards for casual mode. It’s CASUAL that’s the whole point you’re kicking your feet back after a long shift and playing for fun …

This is what happens when a COMPETITIVE first person shooter starts catering to the lower skilled community.

What’s next? maybe a peaceful mode? No guns or killing just hugs and kisses ?

We’re too far gone at this point :/

u/TackleOk1006 — 2 months ago

Solution to sweats in casual mode

Just saw another post where someone was complaining about a high-level player in their precious casual mode…

I have an idea

Hypothetically, if you just removed casual mode and put everyone in a normal regular lobby, then we have no issues?

The reason why casuals is becoming more sweaty is because there’s a cycle that’s endlessly perpetuated when you create casual modes for a online shooter

  1. Create a casual mode where lower skilled players flock to the mode for a better time.
  2. Regular mode becomes more challenging because the lowest skilled players are playing a separate mode.
  3. Average to above average players start LEAVING normal for casual because normal has gotten way tougher
  4. Casual players start to complain because casual is getting tougher.

It’s a ENDLESS cycle
You cannot have a casual mode and a regular mode. You will slowly but surely drain the regular mode and the casual mode will get more challenging.

Additionally, the lower skilled players who have played casuals for one year straight, have become so much worse playing that mode. They are incompetent and incapable, and unwilling to shoot anyone who is a living breathing human.

If you just take away casual mode like it’s always been… this will not be an issue lower skilled players will get better and the playing fields will even.

Please just keep it this way.

Grapple hooks are one of if not the best additions to warzone this year. Games are faster paced and there’s less rooftop stack sniping teams.

Yes you can still “play tactically”… but any mechanic that limits how easily burger teams can hold rooftop with mines is a GREAT mechanic
