A few things I have attempted in HO. Some Australian, some Taiwanese (I am a citizen of both countries). Yes some American or German buildin kits used but with modifications.
This group seems a bit dead but in case anyone is here and interested…. From my incomplete Australian outline layout which is actually in Taiwan. Not all 0n30 is American although unlike UK 0-16.5 or German Oe it is 1/48.
I feel like as much as this was an absolute classic.... we need an updated 2026 version. Probably something with Gina controlling Paulines' shopping trolley, something with worshiping the NRA and American/Trump style "Christians"....
Sorry if slightly off topic as I don’t regard this as a normal collector thing but maybe of interest to some. 1/43 diecast cars moving via magnets on a motorcycle chain moved by a motor intend for use on an electric bicycle. The cars have a slider for them to follow the magnets on the chain. The system is like Magnorail but suitable for more and heavier models. Not sure if anyone else here has attempted something similar?
