AMS major schedule question

Hi guys I made a post with my schedule earlier and I’m thinking about making some changes to my classes. Right now, I intend to double major in Econ while pursuing AMS, so I scheduled for ECO-111. However, I also have the option to take CSE-101, which fulfills my one requirement for a computing course in AMS. I tried to take both this incoming fall semester but the schedule conflicts. Which one do you guys recommend I take?

What do you think of my schedule?

Incoming freshman fall 2026. Mainly concerned about difficulty of classes and professors.

Edit: major is applied math & statistics, I have to take 2 courses in the sbc category options (ARTS & STAS)

Hardstuck Diamond 1/2

Former 330 LP Masters stuck D1/D2 after reset – need advice from GM/Chall players

Hey everyone,

I’m currently hardstuck around D1/D2 after peaking Masters ~330 LP before the ranked reset. I mainly play Yasuo mid, but I also play Talon mid/jungle and Rumble top/mid depending on comp.

My OPGG/DeepLOL:
https://m.deeplol.gg/summoner?userName=Radiohead-008&region=NA

I know the easy answer is “focus on yourself,” and I’m trying to, but I genuinely feel lost on what I should specifically improve to consistently carry again.

Some info about me:
- Champs/Roles:
- Yasuo mid
- Talon mid/jungle
- Rumble top/mid
- Playstyle:
- Aggressive/skirmish-heavy
- Look for solo kills, tempo roams, and snowballing side lanes
- Strengths:
- Usually strong laning phase
- Good mechanics/teamfighting
- Can snowball leads hard when ahead
- Weaknesses (probably):
- Mid game macro
- Converting leads into wins consistently
- Knowing when to side lane vs group
- Sometimes forcing plays when behind
- Mental consistency over long sessions

Things I struggle with:
- Games where side lanes lose early
- Heavy CC/control mage comps
- Enemy jungle pressure shutting down early tempo
- Closing games after getting ahead
- Deciding whether to play for picks, objectives, or sidelanes mid game

I’d appreciate any advice from GM/Challenger players, especially from mid/top/jungle players who understand these champs/playstyles. If anyone’s willing to review my OPGG or point out recurring issues, I’d really appreciate it.

Also down to duo if our champ pools/playstyles fit.

Changing majors as incoming first year

Hi guys. I am an incoming freshman at stony brook and was admitted to the college of business. I want to change my major to applied math and statistics though under CEAS. How hard it is to change my major to AMS? Will I be able to change my major before I enroll in Fall 2026?

For reference I am taking AP Calculus BC and will have a final grade of A and will get a 4/5. I also took the math placement test and got a 9. Let me know if anyone else had any similar experiences. Thank you!
