New monster armor rules?

In the latest download it looks like monster armor was changed to -10/-20. That seems really high to me. My group has been going with the -5/-10 which has been working great, although they are only level 5 so far.

What's your opinion on magic systems focused more on what you do or how you do it

For example a system where you can specialize in destruction vs protection vs conjuration or a system where you specialize in water vs fire vs air

Resources generated in-action by dice rolls

Looking for opinions on this sort of thing. Most obvious example I would give is hope from daggerheart.

My system would use dice pools of d6s. 1 if you're really bad at something, typical high end would be 5. I was thinking you would gain a resource on every 6 you get and most flashier abilities would cost 1-3 of the resource.

I was looking for opinions on this sort of system vs a more attrition based system where you gain more of a resource through resting
