5E Currently playing a home brew campaign, the whole party is very new to the game, so, most encounters are either quick or 3 hours long. I’ve had a few scares of my character getting downed in combat so I need backup ideas in case I die.

Our party:
High elf wizard 3
Human Rogue 4
Dwarf Cleric 5
Halfling Bard 4 (me)

Based on the party, what would a fun backup be?

I’ve played warlock and monk before this but I don’t have much experience with other classes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
