What if it actually spreads as we complacently await its downfall?

I've been DMing for 2.5 years and run a pretty rules-lite game. How I would describe my dm-style is to imagine a Rug right under you, that you are in constant awareness of. I, the DM, will tell you that I will inevitably pull it under you. I shall then treat you with tea, cookies and pancakes as we sit and watch Happy Together except the doomed gay couple sometimes go on grandious manifesto speeches. Remember that rug? yeah..

Inspirations! DISCO ELYSIUM (its so good omg), Pillars of Eternity 2, Andor, Fire Emblem, Shaolin Soccer levels of camp, the movie Happy Together, Battleship Potemkin, that one time Chappell Roan dressed up as a Knight ( need to up my gay credentials )
and finally an overly indulgent hyperpop and experimental music playlist.
I also loveee dramatic characters/divas,, your backstories and arcs will be developed! You can even tell me upfront you want a greek tragedy and I will *try* to give you one. I dont wanna overpromise ofc but overall it will be character focused delving into what their place is in this god-forsaken world.
Requirements for characters: Their social status must not be of high-standing currently, please don't be a Lone Wolf, they also must have something they truly *believe* in and have a reason to travel with the Party. (meaning you can be evil long as you can work with the party).
I personally do Improv and Theatre irl so if there's a sudden short musical number about how evil this npc is, it will be real fun i swear! You ever thought that nobody is doing the kind campaign you wanna play? Thats how i got into DMing 2.5 years ago.. you gotta "pull yourselves by the bootstraps and do it urself" lmao tho not counting previous one shots.. The campaign although will be DM-ed by me ofc, by no means shall it be mine and mine only! Having you guys inputs and interactions is about the most important thing in my kind of rpg :p
OH! and they narratively cannot have a soul. They can still function normally of course, but no soul, will divulge later.
