This was my first time using a tattoo machine. Realized after doing the lines I was using a shading needle 5RM… second sheet (Rose) was using 3rl and 5rm.

Felt like with the 3RL every time I dipped I would have way too much ink so I’d bleed it into a paper towel… then could only put a few lines down.

Also, how do I determine how far out the needle should be? I just kept playing around with it and if it was too short ink would spill out and if it was too long it was harder to control.

Any tips or tricks for a beginner would be appreciated!! Especially for wiping the fake skin after or ease of life adjustments! Thank you!
