Need Sizing Help,PLEASE!
I am wanting to make McCalls M8285 view C. The longer white dress. I got this cool fabric from Mood and also the Polyester crepe de chine for the lining. Both were on sale for amazingly good prices. So I couldn’t resist. Not that I wanted to lol!
The problem is that I don’t know what size to use! I lost so much weight, that I have a completely different shape now. Kinda like a very short box with legs! I realize that I will need to do some grading but I don’t know how to do that yet.
My current measurements are
Bust: 36”
Waist: 34”
Hips: 38”
Height: 4’ 10”
See what I mean by being a box with legs? So if I look at the finished garment measurements, I would need a size ? for the bust, a size? for the waist it doesn’t matter. The smallest sizes are xs, and I’m obviously smaller than that.
For the top sizing section of the pattern envelope I would need to use a size Medium for the bust, a size Extra Large for the waist and a size Medium for the hip.
So what size would I cut out? And if there’s a lot of grading, how do I do it?
