The month we all wait for…
My first pistol was a Glock 19.3. After about 15 years of adultery, I have come back to my first love.

I’ll try to keep this as short a possible including all the pertinent information.
I am in my early 30’s, 6’2” 195lbs. Generally healthy male. (I could eat better) I do exercise regularly and am very active.
I was diagnosed with a DVT in January. I have been on Eliquis since. I have 3 more ultrasounds with different doctors since then and everything is clear. I have no clotting disorders and hematology was very happy with my blood results.
Now the vascular surgeon is a different story, the vein that the clot was found in was effed. My reflux back flow time was 10 times their tolerance threshold. Vein is extremely dilated up into my groin area. Vascular surgeon told me they CAN remove the vein. He said it was completely optional and simply a quality of life thing. I left it at I will consider it.
Fast forward to last Friday(about 9 days ago), during my hematology follow up, they remove me from Eliquis. I begin to have the dull muscle pain in my calf a few days later upon waking in the morning. Last night, I took down my compression sock to show my wife and my veins and calf are very swollen. I started back on Eliquis last night.
All this to say, I’m trying to decide what to do. So I am turning to Reddit lol. I don’t like the idea of being on blood thinners the rest of my life, but I also don’t like the idea of doing a surgery and additional issues come of it. I’ve seen so many examples where people begin getting surgeries and messing with things just to create additional or worse complications. Any guidance or advice from someone who has gone through this would be golden.
