Jane had no issues being Robert's side piece

What would she have gotten out of it if they continued?

A raise? Some gifts? Simple flattery? What was her endgame?

If they had gotten caught, she would have been fired for sure, but would anything else have happened to her?

Would Downton have had day laborers who didn't live at the house...

but would come and help out?

Like maids and such, or did everyone who worked there live there?

I have BritBox for a few more months

I got it for the Other Bennet Sister.

What other shows are good? I seem to have a fondness for the "class" type shows about the Industrial Age era. I live in the US, but my family, unlike Cora and Robert really did have to go down in the mines. My family is from areas such as: Kilsyth, Stirlingshire, Scotland, Hasland, Derbyshire, England, Ranby, Nottinghamshire, England, Landshipping, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It would be fantastic to see shows filmed in those areas.

If you could recommend shows on BritBox. That would be great.

Thanks

I like Barrow, somewhat

He can be a dick, but how much of that is from the life he lived and being a social pariah?

He seemed to be for the family and was loyal. He didn't seem to prey on the weak too much. Stood up for the kids.

I was watching season 3 when Albert came and advanced quickly to a footman, and Barrow was bypassed for the job. O Brian turned on him pretty darn quick.

Cora and her childness and weird mouth movements

In the first season, especially, it seems like Cora is more childlike. She changes the subject if Robert is cross with her. Doesn't seem to stand up for herself. Sometimes I think Mary is more mature.

I don't know how to describe her face. Its mostly the mouth that looks odd. If you know, you know.

Forget all that for 10 years at least. ~ Mrs. Huges

How old would William have been at that time?

He looks at least 18 in season 1.

What age did they expect men to get married?

The biscuit jar

Daisy is trying to hide the mouthful of biscuits she has in her mouth from Carson.

Are the jars full of plain bicuits? Like hard as rocks (the go stale fast) without any toppings?

Why would they have them? Most of us go the night without eating snacks.

For those of you that bought your juicer second hand from a private party...

did you go to their house or meet somewhere?

I have a marketplace ad for my Omega VRT 350 and I have to choose where I want to meet buyers.

I don't really want strangers in my house, but I wouldn't want to buy a appliance if I hadn't seen it at least run.

Suggestions?

Thanks guys

Nama Sorbet attachment.

It would be about $70 to buy one and have it shipped to the house.

That is expensive to me.

have you used the smoothie strainer for a sorbet?

Thanks

Do people buy second hand juicers?

I have a nama J2 but I still have my old Omega VRT 350. Its in great condition, but I am not sure what to do with it.

I haven't ever bought a second hand appliance before.

Should I just junk it?
