No-equity accelerator for hardware and robotics inventors ready to manufacture their first units

I'm part of the team behind machinedotfun, and we've opened applications for The Foundry. It's an accelerator for hardware, robotics and physical-AI teams with a working prototype or clear specifications and a target to ship within the next 3–12 months.

Selected teams get manufacturing preparation before travelling, including design review, supplier vetting, cost mapping and DFM support. The core program is five days in Shenzhen and Dongguan, meeting the factories and suppliers that could produce their first units.

The intended outcome is a set of direct supplier relationships, manufacturing feedback and a practical pilot-build plan. Teams also receive GTM support, access to a founder network and potential pre-seed access.

Selected teams pay no program fee, and The Foundry takes no equity. Teams do cover their own travel.

Happy to answer anything about eligibility or whether a project is at the right stage.

Applications open: no-fee, no-equity accelerator for hardware and robotics teams (Shenzhen factory access)

We run The Foundry, an accelerator for hardware, robotics and physical-AI teams.

The specific thing it does differently: instead of stopping at the prototype, it takes selected teams into Shenzhen and Dongguan for five days to meet the factories and suppliers who could build their first units.

Before the trip there's a preparation block: design review, supplier vetting, cost mapping, DFM.

Teams come out with direct supplier relationships and a pilot-build plan rather than a demo day deck.

Terms, since that's usually the first question:

  • No application fee
  • No program fee
  • No equity taken
  • Teams cover their own travel and accommodation

Fit: a working prototype or clear specifications, and a target to ship in the next 3–12 months.

I'll answer anything about eligibility or stage in the comments.
