I bought a VX2 Gear Vmax scooter brand new, and I thought I was going to get a premium experience compared to a Lime scooter. Boy was I wrong.

First, the clip randomly came off. This was installed out of the box and around 6 miles in, it fell off. Support was responsive. Then my left blinkers weren’t working, and support quickly sent a replacement.

Support is a 9.5/10.

But guys, the riding experience …holy shit. I’ve ridden Lime scooters so much and they’re a very elegant experience compared to this. Its like learning a whole new thing.

This scooter has an insanely finicky throttle response. The torque literally wheelies the scooter so easily from a stand still or a small kick off the delay is way too long i am talking like 2-3.5 seconds.

The brakes are insanely awful. They will kill you with how finicky they are it is not a smooth braking experience at all.

The deck is tiny. It’s probably best made for people 5’7” and below, my god.

On top of the high center of gravity, it’s one of the worst buys of anything I have ever bought.

Pros: It’s faster than a Lime. It goes up hills. It’s light. But honestly, it’s not worth it.

Overall: It is such a stressful experience, and I wanted this to commute on. I almost died twice not even going fast. Never had a close call on a lime.

Any suggestions for a scooter that’s smooth on acceleration and braking and not too heavy?
