Need a CRM System for Nonprofits That Doesn't Create More Work
We recently hired someone to take over our donor communications, and that's when we realized how much information was living in people's heads.
One person knows which donors prefer email. Someone else remembers the last conversation with a potential partner. Another person has the payment history saved somewhere else.
It worked when the organization was smaller, but now we're trying to build a system that doesn't depend on one person remembering everything.
We're looking for a CRM system for nonprofits that can bring donor information, fundraising activity, partner relationships, and communication history into one place.
Email is important too, but I'm open to using a separate email platform if the two systems can stay properly connected.
The part I'm struggling with is finding something that can handle a fairly large database without becoming insanely expensive.
I'd love to hear your experience if you have worked at larger nonprofits.
What did you end up using, and what would you do differently if you were setting everything up again?
