Molly

Hey yall!

This is my sweet Molly Jane (we also call her Molly Moo-Moo) that we have had for about 2 months and she is 7-8months old. We adopted her from a rescue that she came in with 2 other siblings that were adopted before her.

One thing that has been hard is how dependent on me she is, along with how stubborn she is, ha! She is so incredibly intelligent but she also wants to do what she wants to do. I’ve been having a hard time with her responding to her name, on re-call.

This morning for example, she rolled down my car windows and sneaked out of her harness while I was in the bank (car always running of course) and I was chasing her around for like 15 minutes before an employee came out and assisted - Molly immediately went to the employee and I was able to wrangle her up thankfully but it was very stressful and embarrassing lol. I literally bursted into tears as soon as I got her bc I was so stressed out, relieved and angry. 😂

I had a lab for 12+ years beforehand and she was my soul dog. I literally had to just look at her and she knew what I was thinking/wanting. I’m trying to train Molly to do basic commands, but she is very stubborn.

I’ve read online from this forum that they’re mostly food motivated and I utilize treats when training but she is just so stubborn. She is also extremely needy for me. Like as soon as I leave her sight, she panics and freaks out and I’m trying to reassure her that I’m always going to come back. Since she is so needy for me, I bring her to work with me Monday - Wednesday bc I run my own business and my husband is home Thursday-Friday to watch her. When she’s home alone, she cries and paces the entire time. I’ve thought about a crate but Im nervous bc I’ve never had to crate a dog before. I’ve also placed her in Dogtopia/Doggy Daycare on Mondays to help socialize/train her and help me get some extra work done on Mondays.

Any advise yall could give to a first time Puggle owner who just wants the best for my sweet girl🫶🏻✨ Thanks!

Driver Side Window Button Cover

Howdy yall! I literally just had the scare of my life with my semi-new pupper in my Durango 🙃

She has learned to roll down the windows on the drivers side to jump out and get out of her harness. (Currently just chased her for 15 minutes in the bank parking lot by a semi-busy street in HOU, TX. I had her harness on and leash wrapped around the gear shifter, what I thought was tight, but she still got out.) I know that there’s the ‘window lock’ button on the driver’s side door, but I’m hoping to find an even more master lock control potentially.

I was wondering if y’all know any settings hacks to have all the windows lock, even if drivers side tries to “roll” them down, or do yall have any window button covers (thinking about asking my friend to 3D print me something potentially too. Also thinking about just getting one of those seatbelt leashes 😂)

5% tint & running board recommendations

Finally got the 5% ceramic tint on the whole thing, including sunroof and eyebrow on the windshield. Next, I want to get running boards to not wear out my seats so much from getting in and out. Any recommendations? 🫶🏻🖤

My two live saving products

I’m currently starting my 3rd month, 2nd round of Accutane, 10 years after I first took it in high school.

My derm did advise me it would be a little harder on the body as we got older (26F,I’m also auto immune so I think that also plays a big factor) so I do experience the random emotions, achy joints (I work out at F45, 5 days a week too & take glucosamine twice a day) and dry skin.

I can’t remember my skincare back in HS but these two products have been my saving grace for Accutane (and trying to drink enough water but we all know that the more the better lol)

I use this lotion on my whole body and face post shower (I only use Dove Sensitive skin soap bar & Dial body wash) and this specific Aquaphor stick on my lips or any dry spots I have.

This stick specifically has Shea Butter and Avocado Oil and it’s the only thing that gives my lips relief, compared to Aquaphor Lip Therapy/Carmex/etc.
