The purring slowly putters out as she drifts off
Yesterday, the cats were acting like complete fools, and I found out why. Gman was particularly interested in the new friend and after about an hour and a half of us all running around this room tiring each other out so i could grab the squirrel (with heavy gloves on) and shove it in that old carrier it stopped on the windowsil and just hung out. G walked up, shoved his nose up UNDER the hair on that squirrel's back, nose skin to back skin, and sniffed so hard that I thought he might snort the squirrel straight into his sinuses. Squirrel just sat there and let himself get huffed like a weirdo. The squirrel is outside, and nobody is injured. They hardly even touched it because the squirrel was rocketing around the room at top speed, but I checked thoroughly anyway. Everyone's got fresh vaccines, and G now has squirrel fur permanently attached to the cavity where his brain should be. That big nose was made for squirrel sniffin'.
We have pest control scheduled for eviction and entryway patching. Apparently, i have an infestation, and when you see one flying squirrel you probably have 10. They love attics and my old house has a massive unfinished one. The cats are having a blast staring at the walls and waiting around for more squirrels to spawn at the newly discovered, and covered, spawn point...a hole in the wall behind the toilet that we never noticed before
The side-eye before he ran out of the room said, "One sec, this isn't a private area 🙄😒" i guess it was serious business.
