A new one
So I got a new one for everyone. Contract States 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. anything before or after is overtime. Pay that one and a half times. Company saying no it's 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.. nowhere in any of the contracts has it said that and as far as I can see reading there is nothing in the contracts. No amendments or the likes of stating that the company can set their own overtime however, and whenever they feel like it.
Reached out to the business rep. No support. Anybody ever deal with something like this? How would you approach it?
Edit* to clarify. Straight time hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Anytime before 7:00 a.m. is overtime. Anytime after 7:00 p.m. is overtime. Saturdays are overtime. Sundays are overtime. 55 hours per week straight time. Anytime after 55 hours per week is overtime.
