Trailer Towing

Looking for advice.

My boyfriend and I are moving across country, from Massachusetts to Seattle. We were thinking of driving and attaching a trailer to my 4Runner. I have a 2019 4Runner. We are planing on downsizing a lot so we’re aren’t moving many things, but I’m still worried about the weight of the trailer.

I’ve read to keep it around ~3,000 lb but I’m still worried that is too much considering we are driving 3,000+ miles.

Any advice? Dropping down even further means we are now getting ride of almost everything.

Lilies are poisonous

Just want to make sure everyone is fully aware of this.

My boyfriend bought me flowers and said they were lilies, I didn’t think much of it. Last night my cat jumps in my lap and I realize he has pollen on his side, likely from being on the table and brushing against the lily. Suddenly it dawns on me like a revelation that lilies are extremely toxic.

I immediately grab him and wipe him down with soap and water. My bf realizes how bad this potentially is and suggests we give him a bath. We thoroughly washed him. We inspected the lily and didn’t see any bite marks, he also does ever eat plants so we’re confident he didn’t eat the lily.

I was still paranoid so I called the local emergency vet and they said we did the right thing by giving him a bath. I also caught him pretty quickly and am confident he didn’t groom himself between contact with the lily and getting a wash (he literally went from the table to my lap). Vet said to keep an eye on him.

We woke up every hour last night to check on him, which wasn’t hard cause he was sleeping in bed with us. It’s been 12 hours now and no symptoms. Eating and playing like normal. We’re gonna continue to watch him but I feel like he used up 1 of his nine lives last night.

So just be careful everyone. Lillies are a really popular flower but even the smallest amount is toxic to cats.

Weight gain from running?

I recently took a 6 month break from running. During that time I got more into lifting and was dieting and dropped from 135ish to 123. I felt lean and not bloated at 123 and it was awesome.

This month I started running again once a week, and also doing a Hyrox class at my gym (while still lifting) and my weight has shot up to 127 and has been holding. I track everything and have lots of experience in losing (used to be 200 lb) so I know I’m not eating enough to gain 4 pounds in a month.

My legs and glutes feel solid which I love, but seeing my weight feels awful and i feel like I can see it in my lower belly too.

Is the running causing water retention? The only times I’ve ever gained this much this quickly is vacations when i completely let myself go and don’t track anything or workout.

Bikini recommendations?

Where can I get some good quality bikinis?

I’m a fairly thin athletic woman, but I hold a bit of fat in my lower belly. Ideal my bikini bottom would be a bit more high waisted to hold my very lower belly in, but also cheeky and show off my legs and hips that I work so hard for at the gym.

Most bikinis I see are too low, but the ones that are higher waisted also have a lot of coverage.

Good Vibes for Tuxedo 🙏

This is tuxedo. He goes to the vet tomorrow for an endoscopy, Rhinoscopy, cat scan, and any additional testing based on what the vet finds.

He’s had minor breathing problems on and off for over a year. He got really bad in October/November and was diagnosed with asthma in December. His breathing has only mildly improved with an inhaler and antihistamine. We were referred to an internal medicine specialist for further testing.

The specialist mentioned a bunch of possibilities but the scariest one is cancer 😢 he’s lost a little bit of weight this past year but I thought it was because we got him an automatic feeder that provides better portion control. He still eats a ton of food and never turns down a snack and still has a really good spirit, likes to play and watch the birds.

I’m just so nervous about the procedure and what they’ll find, so we could really use some good thoughts/prayers/vibes.

Edit: if anybody has experienced something similar, please share your story.
