Tried to get how viney it is in the photos.

We redid our lawn about 4 years ago and it has been great - but this year it’s had issues. Patches of dead grass/weeds (some crabgrass which pulled out big chunks of dirt). Also a spot where it looks like ants have made anthills so that I’m sure is not helping. We have a sprinkler system which gets good coverage of these spots as well.

All to say I have an idea of what to do, but looking for some advice on what others would do in my situation.
